I totally agree, I was actually referring to the quote in the other user which speculated that one of the reasons why the old trilogy did better would've been the trans allegories present in the movie, which I don't think is true.

You make that opportunity yourself.

Orgies are a time-honored way to relieve pressures in a highly constrained society — in this case constrained by the existential war they face against the Machines. Let 'em dance and fuck and they'll be less likely to resist the measures that must be taken to keep them alive.

I kinda feel sorry for the Machines since it doesn't seem like they have their own version of dance parties.

now im picturing the machines listening to classical music by contrast

The Machines look back at Earth's history for dances, and their hatred for humans only increased more when they found "The Robot."

This scene is so well-acted.

I came here to talk about that and got distractes by the memory of watching Neo and Trinity fuck their stress away when I was 12 years old and not fully aware of why they were naked and fondling each other while everybody else was dancing.

I wonder if tbose orgies are still a thing by Resurrections' time.

If I have one loud complaint about Resurrections it's that they didn't get Weaving back.

That everything Smith said could apply equally to himself is just it makes that scene. "Can you tell me what it is, do you even ''know ''?"

Usually villains are condescending and haughty toward the hero, but you can just feel Smith's genuine indignation at Neo for even trying at this point.

I thought it was already confirmed Resurrections had a Sequel Hook and another film on the way.

I never saw the last half of Resurrections and... I don't have HBOMAX anymore or any plans to get it soon.

Keanu is the only actor who I'm willing to go see a film just because he's in it.

Yeah, cute. My current personal theory is it’ll follow a new protagonist and Neo might show up.

I'm curious to see what they do next after Resurrections admittedly. Also, Drew Goddard did the screenplay for The Martian and wrote and directed Bad Times at the El Royale. This is in good hands if you ask me.
