http://49sti.deviantart.com/art/Sogeking-a-Hero-Appears-103513745 - taken from One Piece (Chapter 419 "Legend of the Hero", page 15)

caption ideas: Invoked Trope[Does he really need] Theme Song Power Up [to sing?] or just : A hero appears!

I had a thought to add this. I realize it might suffer from JAFAAC/spoilers, but the character just does the heroic pose so well. Then again, One Piece is reasonably well known. Let me know what you think.

"Reasonably well known" counts for nothing. And if there are spoilers, it's a no.

I also think it's easy to confuse with Big "YES!", which is warned about in the description.

I'm completely unfamiliar with the context of what's happening there; does it fit the trope? We've had a few IP threads about this one and the suggestions have all been about the title and not what the trope actually means.

""The moment at which a character realizes that things are finally starting to go their way when they're in danger. Perhaps it seemed that the only option was a One Way Trip or a Heroic Sacrifice, but suddenly The Cavalry appears on the horizon. They might not say anything in particular, but the look on their face is priceless.""

This description fits the moment of the image perfectly, which was the only reason I suggested it.

The arc villain is stopped literally a step away from victory by a joke character who suffered from Can't Catch Up practically the whole series (complete with theme song!), and there's a scene of just The Stoic girl (who turned herself in as a Heroic Sacrifice) he saves with tears in her eyes. Also the moment where the heroes finally turn the tables on the villains.

The problem for page images is that quite frequently good examples don't make for good images.

[up] I have to agree; that pic, by itself, doesn't have nearly enough context to get the trope across.
