Mighty No. 9 - Spiritual Sucessor to Mega Man by Keiji Inafune himself

I imagined up a gameplay style for Beck that was very Xel-centric. Basically he has both Xel count and Energy. More Xels = more energy capacity. If he runs out of either he dies. Some enemies will do damage to either his component Xels and others will drain his energy, and some of them will hit both at the same time. Some attacks/weapons are super-powerful, but require you to feed them xels or energy or both.

Any word on a Japanese dub yet? And if so, can we please have the switch between audio option be DLC?

Nope. No word. There's a option to turn the English voices off though so you can just imagine the voices in your head.

I would still give it a chance however. So you don't have to read the subtitles which can distract from the game.

Hm, yeah. Might want to try listening to them it firsthand, don't want to seem too brutal by not listening to see if they are good, eh?

So there are new images of the (possibly) intro of Mighty No. 9 here! [1] Looks interesting to play...Can't wait to have it on my system next month!

(As for the comments...why has people that prefer plot/gameplay over graphics become a rarity? Seems like most of the others prefer graphics over everything now...)

Yep, it's digital. But I did hear somewhere from the official homepage that they're planning to make other ways to get it...

It'll probably get a physical release if its successful in digital. Maybe. Possibly. I don't know.

Damnit. I want the 3DS version but their digital store never works for me.

Now that you say that, which one should I get: the 3DS or Wii U version? I know there's no difference between them sand the 3DS is more favorable because its on the go, but for some reason....I'm leaning to the Wii U version.

Though I'd like to believe that a resurrection is possible if MN 9 ends up being great.

I wonder what went wrong in that project to make them lose that much money...

I don't know myself, but now the almost $4 million raised by the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter campaign seems to be a rather interesting coincidence.

It's not surprising at all that that pirates game was cancelled. Was there even hype for that game? I remember it being announced around the time of Mega Man's nonexistent 25th anniversary celebration, and, like, about a thousand people heard about it, myself included.

Maybe Inafune will pick it back up if this game succeeds?

Never heard about Kaio before but it looks like something I'd enjoy. Shame it got cancelled. Hopefully Mighty No. 9 stays on track.

Does Mighty have a definite release date locked down yet? All I've heard so far is vague mentions of "April", but that's it.

Nope. Probably will have a number date when we reach next month.
