I'm a silly American with no knowledge of French, but it sounds like "Rine" in my head.
"Ren". Rhymes with "Seine". With a rrrrolled "R", hard "N".
Some dialects might put a slight vowel ending on it like the "I" from "it", not quite as pronounced as "Renner" or "Renna". More like saying "Rennit" but without the "T"
That's going by when I took French at school and a few French people I've known over the years so may not be 100% accurate - it's what it sounded like to my ears.
"Ren-ay" would require an acute accent over the terminal "E".

You can hit the speaker to hear it spoken.
I write stuff sometimes. I also sometimes make youtube videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/majormarksBut would most reader know this, or manage to think up a pronunciation in their head without it pulling them out of the story?
I suspect most would just pronounce it their own way in their head. It's short and uncomplicated enough that it's not going to give them nightmares trying to work out who the chcaracter is or how to pronounce the name. If you mention in story that it's French, they'd accept it and carry on - so there should be no problem.
Then it gets made into a movie and the name gets pronounced correctly and half the fans say "fuck, that's how it's pronounced."
So one of my character's names happens to be 'Reine' (it's a last name) It's French, but I've had trouble finding exactly what its correct pronunciation is. I've see everything from RAY-nee to RAYN to Ren-AY etc.
