I know that. The point is that it was illustrating the difference between Kirito and Kayaba. How they started out basically exactly the same and ended up similar but very different.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!To be fair, Even Adam Savage didn't remember where he got the quote from at the time :-P
I read from a quote offsite that they're going to do Fairy Dance next. They're also going to start work on a My Hero Academia abridged.
I thought that they may do ordinal scale instead, since I've herd that's more of a direct sequel to the original arc than fairy Dance is.
I have no idea where you heard that but that is completely wrong. Technically. While Ordinal Scale contains a lot of call backs to Aincrad, it also contains characters and references events from the other four arcs between Aincrad and Alicization.
Fairy Dance, meanwhile, starts a few months after Aincrad and deals with Kirito reconnecting with Suguha, the fallout of SAO, the return of Yui, and the 300 players who never woke up after SAO ended (including Asuna). Jumping straight to Ordinal Scale wouldn't make any sense.
I mean, I've heard that you don't know to know the events of Phantom Bullet or Mother's Rosario in order to understand Ordinal Scale but I've also heard that it's a send off to the four original arcs before Alicization begins and consumes everything since over half of the LNs are dedicated to that arc.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Actually I heard that too on Gigguk's review of Ordinal Scale.
Not a "literal" sequel like Fairy Dance was, but a thematically superior one.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!In the same way Dark Knight Rises is a thematic sequel to Batman Begins with Dark Knight sandwiched in between.
But without all the subsequent arcs before the movie you'll be left wondering how Yui is back, why one shot character Silica is hanging with everyone, and not knowing who Suguha and Sinon are.

"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimAnd yet The Dark Knight is easily the best of the three with Rises easily being the worst.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Like Mother Rosario is the best arc while the movie is meh?
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI've never seen anything past S2E1 so I couldn't say.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I find it hilarious they had to clarify on Facebook that yes, they are continuing. I guess the sound of coins over an arcade "continue?" screen is too subtle for some people.
Some people just aren't patient enough to sit through the credits.
EVEN THOUGH THOSE ARE REALLY GOOD CREDITS MUSIC.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)''Whaaaaa I can't look at the end to learn if there will be more!"
God I hate people. Kabaya did nothing wrong!
Yeah, I'll be honest, if Mage hadn't mentioned it last page I totally wouldn't have waited for the credits to end.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimTo be fair, the credits crawl is super slow.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? Also to be fair - how many animes have we seen that ended with a feature film.
- Disappearance of Haruhi
- K-On The Movie
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica Rebellion
- Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 Conqueror of Shamballa
- Naruto The Last
- Dragonball Wrath of the Dragon (before Super came out)
Last I checked, PMMM is getting a second series eventually; The Last: Naruto the Movie isn't even close to the end of the Naruto anime no matter how you look at it (many episodes take place after it); and Wrath of the Dragon was the last new DBZ animated material until Battle of God, not Super.
Also, I did watch the credits all the way through and heard that sound at the end but it didn't register to me as a coin being dropped into the machine.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The youth of today: What's an arcade?
It took me a moment to register what that sound was (I usually sit through the credits, just in case), and then it clicked with the continue screen countdown, "oh hey, more SAO Abridged".
Probably because so many SAO fans like to pretend that Alfheim never happened.
He doesn't really point out that much new stuff but it's nice to see basically everything that makes this series amazing be put into words in one place. Also, YamatoSFX (Kirito et al; editor; writer) even left a comment using SWE's account.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I hate this series with a passion and even I'm starting to feel sympathy for the number of video essays talking about how bad it is.
Guess I didn't hate it as much as I thought.
Though this did encourage me to rewatch the Abridged finale. The changes to Kayaba's character were fun. I generally try not to ever commit to saying that a "parody is better than the original," but SAO's Abridged parody and Kayaba's revised Motive Rant might be my one exception.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!To be fair, it spends at least the same amount of time, if not more, talking about how good SAOA is. He even lampshades how done to death the complaint videos are in the beginning.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!SAO criticism is a dry well, and has been for years. I just ignore initiations of the original critics or bandwagon jumpers trying to make it big on Youtube.
These videos you posted look fun to listen too. I've already seen a similar video on what make SAO:A work made by Mathwiz 97, but more praise for this Abridged Series doesn't hurt.
