I liked Jimmy Two Shoes for what it was, hands down. This, however? Sorry - not feeling it.
Honestly, I'm more interested in Packages From Planet X, and that show isn't all that great either (hence, it's alongside She Zow! for me as a guilty pleasure, struggling between worth going out of my way for for its actual sense of effort and appealing art style/animation and being all-out mediocre, but somewhat watchable!), once you get down to the bare bones of it...
Any of those shows mentioned (including this one!) are all still far superior to the absolute racist-to-cats-and-likable-kid-characters-everywhere crapfest that is Kid Vs Kat!
Then again, the fact that the creator of that POS is the director on Packages From Planet X just makes me fear I'm going to have to drop said show soon for falling suspect to the usual trappings of what is just another cartoon about kids going through high-school overshadowing the actually unique and enticing premise. That, and he's the douchebag responsible for Kid Vs Kat being a complete POS and shining example of why most, if not ALL of Canada's cartoons today are hated on in general, unless it's that overrated Pony BS from DHX (FACT!).
Maybe if they cut back on all the gross-out gags, the one-dimensional sibling rivalry which is painful to deal with, or the unneeded and insulting stupid hidden allegory for the "1% vs. the 99%' that feels forced and annoying here (instead of eye-opening and thought-provoking in a way that motivates people to fight back, like it SHOULD BE USED!) - this could've turned out a lot better and been a useful way to waste time (because it's nothing special at all, IMHO, otherwise!).

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.The idea of the camp is kinda interesting, but it suffers from the same problem Lab rats and Pair of kings suffered, good idea plagued with unfunny and cliche humor.
I am elated that Canada appreciates making as many cartoons as possible, and that they are actually funded by the government.
The huge catch is that most of these cartoons are crap.
that's what happens when one prioritizes quantity over quality.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.First off, the only reason all of us know the show for what it is today is because of Lauren Faust from the start. I mean if you're going to make a damn mechandising show for a big name company, you better do it right. Second, Canada is only a small, forgettable factor in the process, so it's not even needed sinceAmericans draw and create crap just as bland as K vs. K. Third, Calling it overated is pretty invalid, since I could say K V. K is the greatest and most closes thing to Invader Zim and JTHM in years! It's only one opinion in the sea of opinions.
Still, This show can get pretty dull with it's jokes, but it's nice to see Jimmy's creator hasn't given up toonbiz

At least someone around here understands the inevitable damage being done here in general to Canada's reputation not just as animators, but as servants to the nation that is going out of its way to support them. This screams disservice...
You do have a point there at the end. Canada in general can still aspire to do so much better, especially if the gov't is behind them, supporting them! Seriously, these Canadians are serving their country... And it just comes off like a slap to the face of good Canadians everywhere, IMHO, once you think nice and hard enough about all of this, too... Regardless of whomever made this show - creators of Jimmy Two Shoes or not - this show has failed me. That is all, and that's what really sucks about all of this.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Well, those are the brakes. But clearly the writers knew what they were doing because the same kind of "living Hell crossed over with happy-go-lucky" humor is noticable in both series, even if it's IMHO. I just wish it was more than just about the summer adventures that seem slightly similar. Because those shows(Done wrong)bore me to tears.

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNoted (in all ways you successfully stated, regardless of opinions). Sorry for the rant, otherwise. I'm confident you're not the only one who likes this show and I can only hope you're not alone around here...

So, what do you get when you cross the creators of Jimmy Two Shoes with Horror movie tropes? You get this.
