You have my vote sir.
Due to how stomping works if it is standing it gains a -4 but the snake guy can't stand.

It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble. It's a snake. It can't stand. Ergo the -4 to standing targets does not apply.
I think I might have used ergo wrong. Nevermind. I used it right. Though apparently its Latin.

Click Click Boom BoomNo, you used it right.
I'm so oblivious
Monosugoi is a serpentine monster, so it can't go prone or stand.
The text specifically says it has a penalty to standing targets.
Kosjurake noticed this.
Don't think I'll let you lose the penalty on flying targets, mind.

You guys really should have just built a pair of Dragon Wrath cannons - as long as we've only got on Jaeger, we're not going to get much opportunity to shoot at things at that long a range.
Heh. I wouldn't dream of it. Damn. There goes my plan
We had Goro at ten units in the previous fight for a bit. Being able to shoot him would have been nice.
Click Click Boom BoomWell, in that case, Stomp and Shoot gets my vote.
Well, you've pretty much completely rescued the convoy so plans to build a new Jaeger should be slightly easier now. Assuming you survive the fight against this monster and the next one this week.
OH SHIT did I just double foreshadow? I get giddy this late at night.
Another Jaegar?
That makes it sound like the convoy has Jaeger parts in it. Me likely.
So will we get time to run any repairs on Ronin before the next fight?
Click Click Boom BoomYes and no.
After we kill Monosugoi lets take some spikes and fangs for our next fight.
It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble.Damn. No repairs. We better not take any more damage. D=
Click Click Boom BoomI think that's three votes for Stomp'n'shoot. Unless Jawa has any objections, I guess I'll lock it in.
There does not appear to be any objections. Let's stomp a snake.
Also, amusing thought: If we assume Wild Ronin is taking place in the same verse as Cherno Alpha, Romeo Blue, and Verno Moures(sp?). I bet the Kaiju Maker's are all going, "Wtf is going on? I thought we had this place conquered. Why the hell are we losing so many minions all of a sudden?"
Click Click Boom BoomAs the two giants square off on one another, Monosugoi darts forward with its fangs again (4) and tears into the Jaeger's chest armor (4,3,5) but the massive impact absorbers keep the damage minimal.
Guns from the Convoy escorts thunder (10,7)(5) as eight new squads of Rocket Jeeps finally arrive and zoom past the retreating trucks.
Brushing off the monster's mouth, Wild Ronin takes one step forward (7) and on to the serpentine monstrosity it faces. (1,3,1,2) Holding the monster's upper body still, she hefts her right arm and fires repeatedly (4,4,5) into the monster's face (6,7,6). Incendiary rounds explode and burn flesh. Monosugoi wants desperately to scream, but the mutilated mouth it is left with does little but emit a long trilling noise as it's neck harmlessly flops left and right. Finally, it's head disintegrates as fire and acid claim it completely.
Wild Ronin spins the cylinder on the now empty revolver before bringing the smoking gunbarrel up to the head near the conn-pod. Cooling exhaust vents from near the Jaeger's neck and blows it out like an old western, her foot still firmly planted on her fresh kill.
- Wild Ronin takes 2 damage to chest!

How big is the horn? And is it still intact? Cause I think we might just be able to use it as a shank.
Click Click Boom BoomWeek continues.
The saved convoy is revealed to have been loaded to bear with Jaeger parts. Three sets of the very valuable items are shipped into Tokyo as the convoy can finally stop playing cat-and-mouse with the giant monster, the "Earth shatterer".
These parts can be used when constructing a new frame to reduce the overall cost by 1000 resources each. Alternatively, they may be used during downtime to repair Wild Ronin without spending an action. They also had miscellaneous other valuables that they are willing to share with their rescuers, adding an additional 1000 resources.
In fact, they may be used right now to bring Wild Ronin up to full speed before-

Hmmm. So, we got three of them. If we use 1 now we will only be able to reduce future jaeger frame by 2000.
Are any of these parts weapons of any sort?
Click Click Boom BoomAlright, that's it from me tonight. Tommorow's busy for me so we'll probably only get one or two rounds in.
Well, they're all being coordinated my Open_Sketchbook and mine's a shoddy me-too wannabe. Plus the systems are vastly different. If Hardboiled is emulating Condemned then my unnamed homebrew is emulating Dynasty Warriors.
I'm still looking for a name. This whole game proves it works. I'm thinking something simple, like Heroism.
Pretty big. If you do manage to snap the whole thing off, it would indeed make a decent dagger-sized thrusting implement.
Nah. Servos, hydraulics, joints... Internal stuff.
edited 20th Aug '13 10:37:52 PM by ShirowShirow
So, can we snap it off before heading to the next fight?
Also just because they don't use the same systems doesn't mean they can't be in the same verse. =P Or maybe parallel verses or something.
I know Sketchbook said he wasn't willing to have anymore Jaeger things going on using Hardboiled but maybe you could see if it was alright if you converted Cherno and stuff to this system for a crossover? Even if its a non-canon one for Cherno.
As for a name...
Hmmmmm...
I'm not that great with names. Heroism works but I feel like it could be better.
And directed to my fellow players: I say we use the jaeger parts for a full repair. I'd rather not risk losing the right arm entirely by going into a fight without it.
Click Click Boom BoomWe should try to save one or two of them if we can for a new Jaeger. We need additional machines. Sooner rather than later, ideally.
I am aware of that. But they're only a 1000 resource reduction apiece. And why repairs probably aren't worth that much. The risk of having our arm one shotted and being down an arm for most of a fight is too high to risk in my opinion.

Click Click Boom BoomWouldn't we only have to use one to repair ourselves right now if we were to take that action? Presuming we can take that action?

But I thought stomping had a penalty. Unless I just failed to understand everything.
