From what I've heard about Phil, I really don't like the guy, but I understand how much this must suck, to have to cancel your own creation. And that Beer guy, never heard of him, but I also don't like him based on what I've heard. I'd definitely side with Phil here. Death threats (joke or not) are inexcusable, but so are personal attacks and whatever else Beer did.

They're both dill holes. This is basically watching 2 adults throw childish temper tantrums at each other and one decides to take his toys and go home while stamping his feet.

Lol. Fish's twitter feed is hilarious.

So apparently he's getting out of the games industry now.

I pray for a day someone takes a cell phone picture of him working at wallmart or something.

While the extent of his reactions are pretty bad, I can sort of get him being completely drained by those kinds of insults and people loudly wishing him failure constantly. There's a reason why I never want to be in the public eye.

That's too bad. I admire his work ethic, but sort of see this as a "you had it coming."

Maybe I'll pick up the first game sometime.

I'm also concerned as to whether or not his presence in Indie Game The Movie is gonna say something about the indie sector most would like to ignore? You know, the "chances are you're NOT gonna make it" fact of life, and whether that kind of changes a lot about the movie the next time you watch it?

That aside, when you make indie game development your only emotional crutch with something like Bipolar Disorder on your shoulders, that's just a nasty combination by default. Here's hoping he bounces back from that onto some other creative endeavor and not blow up next time.
