...I can't get past the DOS prompt
Oh wow, this is very cool — thank you for linking to this!
Try typing "dir" (without the inverted commas, and followed by the enter key), then looking at the available .exe files to run...
[edit]
Okay, I think that I've been through the whole thing now — is there anything past reaching the top, being shown the blue-screen and then being dumped back at the starting DOS-like prompt?
I like the idea. It took me a little while to figure out the mechanics, but I found that that seemed to fit: it felt like I was learning to navigate an alien space because I was. Nevertheless, two issues bothered me: first, that the various screen effects were too strong for my liking, obscuring rather too much, and second — likely exacerbated by the first — that I found it difficult to figure out which walls I could walk through and which I couldn't.
By the way, at the DOS-like prompt, try a few other commands, like "help" or "quit", or try pressing the escape key... ;)

My Games & WritingI don't think there is. In the game files, there's only data for two levels and it was stated to be a demo only.
It took me awhile to figure out the mechanics as well, though once you begin to realize that anything besides the walls and floor (actually, pretty much everything vaguely staticy) is important in some way, it becomes easier.
Hint for the DOS prompt: Type DIR first. It will give you a series of .EXE files that you can run. Just type in their name to run any of them. Once you get to that point, it's not too hard to figure out.

That's because you're a malfunctioning device or interacting with the world through one. That would naturally be frustrating.
On the other hand, making the experience overly frustrating for the player can drive them away from the game.
For example, the lack of guidance in how to play worked reasonably well for me because I could still act and experiment, and thus find my way through. On the other hand, the heavy screen effects interfered with my ability to interact with the game, they came between me and the game to a degree that became problematic for me, I feel.

Demo. Requires Unity player, which it offers a download for.
This game is... the trippiest platformer I've ever played. The beginning DOS sequence is really cool and sets the whole mood for the game, in my opinion. The game itself is rather... strange, I must admit, but it's still pretty fun.
Sadly, the devs have stated that it's not a really good indicator of how the game will be when it actually comes out.
Still, the demo is fun. How are you all liking it?
