My problems when comparing TV shows

There are certain occasions when i see similarities between two shows, and when that happens, i tend to associate one with the other when i watch them.

Examples:

I frequently compare the Ben 10 Franchise and Young Justice to Teen Titans (the original show), which i originally compared to Justice League

I frequently compare the Avatar Franchise, the Kung-Fu Panda franchise and, most recently (if only to a degree), W.I.T.C.H., to Xiaolin Showdown

I compare Secret Saturdays with Wild Thornberrys and the Mummy animated TV show

and most recent of all

I've started to compare American Dragon: Jake Long with Kim Possible.

All of this has caused me to occasionally imagine crossovers, but the more i did so, the more I saw how some of the shows trumped the others

Ben 10 and Young Justice were far more original and developed with their concepts and characters than Teen Titans. Teen Titans had a great villain, but compared to the way Ben 10 and YJ handled its villains, TT's baddies seem kind of weak. The same can be said when you compare TT to Justice League, the latter was much more darker and serious.

Avatar absolutely trumps Xiaolin Showdown in almost every aspect (characters, artwork, story, martial arts, and especially the drama) and its sequel series will no doubt do the same to Xiaolin Showdown's sequel series. W.I.T.C.H. and Kung Fu Panda seem to follow in that regard as well, Xiaolin Showdown just didn't have as much background to it as these shows did.

I want to say that AD:JL is far more darker, exciting and complex than Kim Possible, but after putting more thought into the matter, the more i see that Kim is smarter, more skilled and an all around better role model than Jake, which means Jake would be the one with the short end of the stick in these shows ever crossed over.

I've felt this way many times before, and after seeing the trailer for Book 2 of the Legend of Korra, it finally had to come out. There is no way that Xiaolin Chronicles can top Legend of Korra. I've often thought about writing Fan fiction for Xiaolin Showdown, so this might have just been me venting my bruised writer's ego, since i know that there's no way that i could top the creators of Avatar or Greg Weisman for that matter.

How the Hell can you compare The wild Thornberrys to Secret Saturdays while obviously it can more closely be compared to Littlest Pet Shop?

[up] A child with strange, animal related powers traveling with a family of researchers and animals, studying whatever kind of creatures they encounter. Mmm, pattern?
