I'm 3 days away from a 3 week-long vacation, but right now I'm kind of apprehensive about the "flying to the location" part. You see, earlier this year, during my summer vacation (southern hempisphere), I was restless and panicky every time the plane jolted from normal turbulence.
Even though air travel is the safest transportation per mile/km, or so it is said, I'm still driven to an incredibly panicked state due to turbulence. How can I deal with those issues? Flying is a necessary part of long-distance travel.
It's worth mentioning that it's not just turbulence that causes panic; other issues, like being placed in a holding pattern, or having to face less than ideal weather, are also enough to scare me. And in no time have I ever been in a flight situation that's actually considered dangerous.
