Here's where we can discuss new additions to decks, ideas for mini-plots to follow, character/duelist relations, deeper backstories, and possible tweaks to the Card Game rules. This should keep everyone entertained until I'm ready to start. I'm thinking of writing up a prologue/tutorial duel sometime this week or next, and maybe we can test duel with each other if we're bored.

Alright, so I guess I explained everything I needed to for Dean's deeper backstory, though possible threads for miniplots to develop from it are 1) the return of his traitorous friend and 2) his breaking out of Decade's control.

So if you look at my deck there are a few mentions of cards not actually in it (Green Knight, Lancelot, etc.) When can we incorporate new cards into out decks? (My deck's technically not finished; still a few slots open).

Also how do the battles work? Power Values or RP Style Fightin'?

So, what do you guys think of my duelist (Matt Kitami) and do any of my fellow Omni-Knights wish to form a friendship or alliance with him?

Also, how does one expand their deck in-game? I do wish to include more characters from GTA as my deck expands.

I have no idea what DOTA 2 is, but I can check it out. I can't remember what team you're on though. If you're Omni-Knights, we could be in an alliance.

The Characters will fight RP style and can talk with each other as they battle. Generally, Upgraded cards hold an advantage over a basic Character Card, but it's still possible to keep the fight even with some clever card combos.

I thought I explained this earlier, but maybe I didn't...New cards can be found in Card Shops, vending machines, traded for, given away as presents or prizes, and even inherited from family. You may add new cards as soon as you pass the preliminaries if you like. I only limited you to 20 cards at the start because 40 is kind of overwhelming to keep track of at the beginning. There is no in-game limit for a deck other than 40 cards. Collections can be bigger, but people generally don't carry all the cards they own on their person all the time, usually just the ones that are part of their favorite decks.

Gotcha

As my character acquires new cards, I may expand outside GTA and possibly add stuff from Resident Evil, Sailor Moon, and maybe Naruto. But the bulk of the deck will be GTA themed.

Balin will generally align himself with anybody, regardless of side. He's not out to make enemies.

Would anybody object to the creation of general utility cards? Y'know cards that can go in pretty much any deck (think Staples in Yugioh).

I think I allowed something like that earlier. If the character has used say, armor or a knife before, they can equip a body armor or knife Action Card. Does that make sense? Oh yeah, and I'm designing my own character too, who will join the Omni-Knights just before the tournament for her own reasons. I think I'll keep her deck themed around various video game and cartoon heroes, starting with Guillmon (her oldest Character Card), Skyward Sword Link, and Korra (her most recently gained Card). And no, Korra does not exactly listen to her. XD What do you guys think about this deck idea?

Sure. And when I said she joins just before the tournament, I mean just before. XD.

DOTA 2 is like League Of Legends, but with more Russians and hats.

I've never actually played the GTA games myself, but from what I know about the series it looks good.

Of course Balin and Mat can be friends :3

Lady of the Lake

• Bestower of great weapons and keeper of Excalibur. When this card comes into play target an Upgrade Card in your Graveyard. Equip it to an appropriate target you control (if the target already has an Upgrade equipped to it, return that Upgrade to you hand).

So it's technically an 'Arthurian Legend' but it can be used in any deck as a nice Upgrade recycler.

From the talks above, I can say that I'm glad I'm not the only one with missing cards, and I think that Roger will make friends with the whole freaking team because of his nature.

Hm... I have an idea to convert all of Decade's Attack Ride Cards shown in the series into Action Cards, just to see how they'd fare in the game, then select a couple for booster packs. Does that sound like a plan?

Yup. I bet you could find an Omni-City Card shop that sells Action, Upgrade, and Environment Cards for the Kamen Rider Series in 5 packs.

Hm... Actually, I have a question surrounding Booster Packs.

Are the Booster pack distribution random, by rarity, or by card type? Like, for example, would a booster pack contain a fixed amount of rare cards (i.e. one per pack) or a fixed amount of Environment Cards, Action Cards, Character Cards, or Upgrade Cards?

Well, only the player using the cards would be able to determine which they are, so randomness has been cast out the front door.

Uh

A pack of five has...One of each type of card, and one random rare card. Rarity is based on in-series strength or rarity of the thing the card is based off of, so a Mewtwo Character Card or a Fire Blast Action Card would be rarer than say...a Rattatta Card. You will still determine what cards you get in the discussion thread when a pack is bought. You may even get a double of a card you already possess.

Alright, I'm gonna start working on the Attack Ride Cards. See if they're balanced. Keep in mind that Decade can only use the non-Decade Rider Cards (and certain Sentai cards) if he's in Violent Emotion.

• Attack Ride: Invisible (Decade): Turns the user invisible for one turn.
• Attack Ride: Clock Up (Kabuto Riders): Speeds the user up for one turn.
• Attack Ride: Auto Vajin (Faiz): Summons a motorcycle that can transform into a robot.
• Attack Ride: Ongekibou - Rekka (Hibiki): Gives the user taiko drumsticks that fling out fireballs.
• Attack Ride: Strike Vent (Ryuki): Gives the user a gauntlet designed like the head of a Chinese dragon. It emits a stream of fire.
• Attack Ride: Metal (Blade): Makes the user's defense almost metal-like (to the point if he is struck, he would actually turn into metal) for one turn.
• Attack Ride: Mach (Blade): Allows the user to score a quick attack.
• Attack Ride: Ore Sanjou, Attack Ride: Kotaewa Kiite Nai, Attack Ride: Nakerude, Attack Ride: Bokuni Tsurarete Miru, Attack Ride: Saa Omae No Tsumi Wo Kazoe, and Attack Ride: Uchuu Kitaa (The first four are Den-O, the second last is Double, and the last is Fourze): Allows the user to make a pose and utter a catchphrase. Yes, that's all there is to it.
• Attack Ride: Tsuppari (Den-O): Has the user do a series of palm strikes.
• Attack Ride: Rekka Daizantou (Shinkenger): Gives the user a BFS that is wreathed in fire.
• Attack Ride: GaGa no Udewa (Amazon): Gives the user the GaGa Armlet, which doubles in attack strength.
• Attack Ride: Gigant (G4): Gives the user a four-missle rocket launcher.
• Attack Ride: Side Basshar (Kaixa): Summons an ED-209 like robot that launches tons of missiles.
• Attack Ride: Utchari (Den-O): Gives the user a sumo lifting attack.
• Attack Ride: Advent (Ryuki): Summons a Chinese dragon to fight. (Might become Character Card: Dragredder)
• Attack Ride: Reflecloud (Goseiger): Creates a cloud to reflect the previously used attack.

Very starter-y. I like it, and it gives me an idea of how the cards should function.

Also, Shield Bash and Spin Attack for Link reminded me that I could have made Concentration, Sensemove, Overblast, and Lethal Strike Action Cards for Samus. I also forgot to mention the Samus card Ryan has is based off of Super Metroid. Which was probably obvious by the presence of Reserve Tanks, but oh well.
