Huh, only a thousand words? Maybe I should join in.
I believe that I'm over 700 words in now. I also believe that it'll be obvious that I have no idea how romance works, so I'm just having fun with this.
EDIT: By the way, what do I do once I'm don with the chapter. Stick it in Gdocs and say that Meta can edit it or something?

There's six people signed up to go after Sereg. Applelight and CDRW, if you really do want to participate, I wouldn't have any problem with it.
Sereg: PM the text to me in some form. Either a gdoc or any other document. I'm copying everyone's sections into a master document, to make sure they all stay available if one of the authors drops off the internet for a while.
I'll sign up for it.
Given how the story has turned out so far, perhaps we should title the finished product, If on a sunny day a traveler.
Sounds good to me.
looks up what that book is
Did you guys go all postmodern on this thing?
We haven't gone postmodern (yet). I just was thinking of how that book hints at a bunch of unseen stories by including the first chapters of a bunch of (fictional) books, and our story does something similar. Because even when one author tries to maintain continuity, they still have to guess about the backstory, and the Chekhovs Guns they set out may or may not get completely ignored by the next author.
I've sent Meta Four the next chapter.
Sorry, whoever has to go next.
Am I now allowed to read the previous chapters?
If anyone who's already written their section wants to see what else has been written, I can pm a link to the master document.
I'll just wait till it's done. It looks like it's going pretty fast now.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayAnyway, who wants to go next?
Am I still on the list already, or do I need to sign up again?
Reaction Image RepositoryI think it's pretty much open to whoever wants to go next.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayYou're still on the list.
At this point, yes it is, so whoever wants to go next, just say so and go ahead.
I suppose I'll sign up.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Ok, I just sent the chapter to Wryte.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI'd like to go after him, if I may.
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartSo what are the parameters for this? I know it's an Octavia/Celestia shipfic, but are we trying to maintain a specific tone? Is there a target length for each chapter? And where do I send my chapter when I finish it?
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Send it to Meta Four. As for the other questions, I'm not really sure. Just do whatever you think is best, I guess?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe target is 500-1000 words. No god-modding. The chapter should be in continuity wih the previous chapter (but not necessarily the ones before). Don't worry too much about consistency. Send it toMeta Four when you're done.
It's perfectly okay to make your chapter vary wildly from the tone of the previous chapter. It's fine to focus on minor details from the previous chapter and use them to completely reinterpret what came before—in fact, that's what I did with my chapter, and what Storyyeller did in the chapter immediately after mine.
Just refrain from any plot developments that would boil down to that last chapter didn't actually happen or that last chapter doesn't matter.
...oops?
Well no, I guess I just reinterpreted the chapter before mine.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Finished and PM'd. Spoiler warning: SHIT JUST GOT HEAVY.

This is going to be good.
How many other people are after you? Japaneese Teeth? Applelight? Does Dark still want to do a chapter?
