I'm sorry Ninety.
Thanks for the kind words, guys. On the bright side, no one got hurt, and it was nothing we can't afford to replace. Things are mostly back to normal now.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Hey everyone, since I believe some of you expressed interest before, I thought I'd leave this here (since it's sort of of topic for the "on topic" thread and since I am also never returning there haha)
I felt like I had to duty to let some fans of Dersites and Denizens who don't read my tumblr know and well, they're probably all on this site but they still might not see it. Speaking of which I should mention: I am still working on Dersites and Denizens but I've hit some snags. I may decide to wait until Homestuck ends to really move the plot forward on a regular basis for fear of anything being, shall we say, superseded by canon. After all, my inspiration didn't start until we already knew how Star Wars turns out.
I bet there are probably still some hard feelings over what went down in the other thread way back when, and I really don't want to talk about that. I'm not even sure I'll comment here except to update people on the progress of D&D and the TRPG system (and even then, only if people want me to. Anyway, I would really appreciate help from some of the talented people in this group on what has proven to be a project I'm a little (ha!) out of my depth on.
Thanks for your consideration,
Imp
Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban.Everyone's probably over it. We even had some recent drama with your doppleganger, so the original article might well be welcomed.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Wait, what?
Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban. This guy (Theorist King) showed up a while after you left, and he was cool, although a lot of people thought he was a sockpuppet of you for a while. He just recently he got in a spat with Odie and was suspended, (perhaps permanently, he's not sure how long). Odie didn't like him because he was convinced he was you. And I don't know if TK will even want to come back when (if?) he can, after this.
I, for one, would be glad if you came back to the thread, and/or that Skype group (the one we played Overseer with, it's just kinda ballooned recently; it's currently hosting a fansession, but it's mainly just rambling and Homestuck discussion).
Also I still offer whatever (meager) assistance I can offer you with SBURB, but you know that already.
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.In fairness, he did act a lot like you. Bit more abrasive.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.So everyone learned a valuable lesson: Imp isn't the biggest asshole on the internet?
Honestly, even I would have to be taught that.
Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban.Shocked me too!
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.But he was not especially good at expactorating.
Anyway, I went ahead and reposted your sburb thing in the main thread for you since I know not everyone from there follows here. I hope that wasn't presumptive.
Its an interesting project but I don't know if I can participate. I'm slammed for the next couple months.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersGod, I hate to admit it but I really missed you.
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban.Yeah, we missed you too mate.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Welcome back!
So Imp vanishes and then TK shows up. TK gets smote by the banhammer and then Imp reappears. Now, I ain't saying they're the same guy, but I've never seen them photographed together.
Anyway, Imp. If you wanna save yourself a headache you could probably get a decent Sburb system out of a more narrativey and rules-light system like FATE. The Atomic Robo game's got an invention system that might be adaptable to an alchemy binge, but I don't have access to my book right now to double-check.
If, on the other hand, you're set on some big crunchy thing, then I can only offer best wishes, you poor brave bastard.

Existing systems are a good place to start, I think. Though my hope has been to create something fairly original. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a team, and attracting people to the idea is more difficult than I thought it would be.
Also, I plead hilarious coincidence.
Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban.I have also heard that Chuubo's is ridiculously good for most things?
Its a more roleplaying diceless system but character get rewarded bonus experience for following quests or behaving in character. In a session I'm playing, my character is a pre-gen called Rinley who is a storyteller and troublemaker so she gets bonus XP whenever she tells a story or sets up a story for someone else or makes someone (character or player) facepalm or groan. But she also gets XP for following quests which all have their own ways to progress.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo I too have heard. However, I do intend to create a dice based sytem.
Read my over-thinking at http://impossiblah.tumblr.com Age: 25, Male Put #FreeImp in your gingerbread to protest my ban.Would it be just d6's, or something making use of the polyhedral sets of d20, d12, d10, d8, d6, d4?
I'm guessing the former?

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.A pox on you, sir!
Specifically, to step on a caltrop.
d4s, don't leave them on the floor.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYou instantly go to level -20.
Addendum: Also, dice don't have sides, they have faces. Where does that put me, nerdinesswise?
