Thaddeus frowns.

Thaddeus: Bartering? I prefer currency - to me, bartering is the home of frauds. For example, you give a man a cow, and he gives you two disposable pigs. Not good. But sure. Do you have anything equal in cost to this sword?

She appears to be thinking it over carefully. "Hmm. I know. How about... your life?" With a flick of a wrist, shards of glass float from the floor into the air, as if of their own accord, and direct their sharpest points in Thaddeus's direction. They stay hanging there, poised to be shot forward at any moment."Yes, I think that would be a most reasonable deal. Don't you?"

Thaddeus grins smugly, before flickering his tongue and raising his two metallic fists in defense.

Thaddeus: Shards of glass... against metal? You must be kidding me.

The shards linger in the air a moment more, before suddenly crashing down.

"You're right. I'll need something a little bit more powerful to take care of you. But I'd prefer not to use such means unless absolutely necessary. Just hand over that special sword of yours, pedlar-man, or else I can promise you that you won't like what's to come next."

Thaddeus: Sorry, madam. I would really like to, but salesmen don't just give their goods away.

"Very well then. If you insist on being so stubborn." She withdraws a certain golden cap from her robes and places it on her head...

Thaddeus steps back slightly, with his sword still in hand.

She begins to chant ominously, a violet aura forming around her. "Ep-pe, Pep-pe, Kak-ke." "Hil-lo, hol-lo, hel-lo." "Ziz-zy, zuz-zy, zik!" Her eyes begin to glow a deep and forbidding magenta.

Thaddeus: ,..What is this vile magic?

There is no answer from the witch, as she continues her incantation. Finally, it begins to come to a close. Sparks of purple and gold appear above her head...

Thaddeus: My friends! Come to me!

Several red-robed mercenaries appear, surrounding Thaddeus and holding spears.

The witch is startled."Where did they all come from? No matter. I have an army of my own to support me..."

A portal opens just above her head, out of which enter several winged specimens of...well, you know.

The mercenaries rise their spears up, standing defensively.

Killer Queen!

A pink, cat-like humanoid figure appears next to Kira. Due to how Stands work, Kira is the only one who can see it.

How did you summon those guys?

"My loyal servants, stand at attention!" They quickly arrange themselves into aerial attack formation, spears and arrows also at the hand.

"Sorry if we pose any trouble to you. It's just very important that I gain control of this magical artifact, and put it to better use than this salesman ever would!"

(This should be interesting to watch. If any one of those gets too close to me, then I'll have Killer Queen dispose of them.)

Well, those were Thaddeus's minions.

The mercenaries are ready to throw their spears into the direction of the flying monkeys.

Thaddeus watches the blonde human carefully.

Thaddeus: I smell something... -flickers tongue- suspicious.

The witch pays no attention to this offhand remark."Ready? FIRE!" The first volley of arrows comes whooshing down his way.

Well, they were waiting for him in the backyard anyway.

The mercenaries begin throwing spears in the direction of the Flying Monkeys and rush towards them. Thaddeus attempts to attack the Wicked Witch, while defending himself with his metal fists.

She quickly raises an invisible barrier. The air ripples as Thaddeus attempts to punch at the witch, to no success. "Do you really think that you could hurt me like this?" The Monkeys and Mercenaries are locked in intense combat. All of the bar patrons are greatly disturbed by the general commotion, and the bartender groans upon coming out from the back and seeing the fight occurring between the two. Irritated, he calls out for the bouncers' help.I think both of them are either dead or unconscious, at this point. Caliborn dismembered one, at least.

Yeah, they are probably unconscious.

One of the mercenaries spits at one of the flying monkeys and the mercenaries jump at the monkeys with spears. Thaddeus quickly disappears out of the Witch's sight and crawls behind her.

Kira takes a sip of his drink. The fight amuses him.
