Alice turned to face the crowd. "So... I assume we all got here the same way? Via some sort of portal?" She scratched her head and ran her hand through her hair. With her teleportation powers being blocked, she had to find another way home. She eyed up the portal.

Worth a shot...

"I just told someone a second ago... that I died... That's how I got here.." Nicholas said to Alice. He took a brief pause to work up the fact that he actually died... and yet he still lived. Everyone else was concerned with who did this and why they're here, but he's more concerned with if he's currently dead or not.

"I did come through that portal and encountered this donkey man... Not sure if he took us though... He could be a boy going through a transformation into a Jackass... It's a long story." Nicholas said to Alice.

In contrast to some of the others, Ambrose Martinez - or Amando, as he preferred to be called - arrived without much of a painful landing, instead simply appearing just next to the table-portal in a perfectly normal standing position, albeit his eyes were closed. "Hm?" Rousing himself slightly, he glanced around. Eh... Oh! Ohhhhh, I see. Goddamn, my imagination is awesome! Good job, me.

Just as he was mentally congratulating himself on coming up with such a fantastical setting, an exceptionally odd bird-woman appeared out of nowhere nearby. Silently slipping over and observing this new arrival, by far most unusual (other than the donkey bartender, perhaps), Amando raised an eyebrow as he faintly heard her mutter that she must be dreaming. "Not so fast there, Hawkgirl," he asserted quietly enough that only she could hear, shoving his hands in his pockets as he grinned cheekily, "This is my dream, thank you very much."

"Well, then... who's responsible for this?" some young woman demanded, likewise appearing out of the blue. As another lady, apparently also one of the bar's new patrons, spoke up and suggested that they had all arrived though a portal of some kind, Amando at last realized that the table behind him was glowing unnaturally in a plain violation of common sense, especially since it didn't seem to be outfitted with any sort of lights. Refusing to give up the premise that he was dreaming, but willing to see where this was going lest he break his own immersion too much, the Geass-bearer cleared his throat noisily to interject after the black-haired teen had said his piece.

"Indeed," he agreed readily, tone much more formal than it usually was, "that would appear to be the case. Alas, I doubt that it will be possible for us to return whence we came as easily..." Letting out a dramatic sigh, he enacted a needlessly theatrical bow in the blonde's direction. "My name is Amando. Amando Garcia. Who might you be, then, Madame? You see to have some idea of how we arrived here, so perhaps you have some idea of our circumstances as well, yes?"

"I'm Alice Sparrow... It sort of makes sense, doesn't it? You were all in different places and were all dragged here and emerged from that hole there..."

She sighed.

"I have no idea why we're here. I'm in the dark as well."

"... So, everyone else got teleported here at random, too? Hmph."

Kiyomi folded her arms. What kind of jerk just dragged a whole bunch of random people to a stupid bar out of no where?! Kiyomi hardly had any interest in getting pulled her herself. She wanted to stay with her friends, with Miko. Not to just hang around in this stupid place.

"Well, we can ignore that idiot asking for a fight," she said, waving her hand. Kiyomi's temper left her somewhat more caustic then usual, "and focus on leaving."

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Geeeeeroooooniiiiiimoooooo!"

A squeal of joy was heard as yet another figure entered the bar, descending from above and landing right on top of Hawk. The green-haired girl didn't even notice as she leapfrogged off the poor man and landed on the bar, posing as dramatically as possible. Miss Moerin had taught her well, after all.

"The heavens call! The, um... The heavens call again! And the, um... The other thing calls!" Of course, even with the tutelage of such a master of overdramatics, the girl's simple mind still held her back quite a bit. "They call for... For... For callingness! By accepting the... Whibbly-swirly thingy's invitation, the... The..."

Fumbling about in her pockets, the overly dramatic girl pulled out a set of cue cards and strained her eyes to read them. She's written them herself, after all, and her handwriting was atrocious.

"...The... Goat's Nana... Um... That can't be right, um... Uh... Bah, who needs the cards anyways!" Tossing the cue cards to the side, the girl pirouetted on the spot and raised her sword to the air. "JOLOKIA IS HERE!"

Aw man, if Miss Moerin could see me right now she'd think I was so cool!

...The worst part about this was that she was most likely right.

Hawk cracked his neck, caught unaware as the little bitch had landed on his head. He got up from the bar, and looked at her, a slightly curious look in his eye offsetting the total deadpan tone,

"What the hell was that for?"

This newest development just crossed the threshold that Beatrice had set for getting herself involved. Conjuring up a crackling sword, she darted across the diner at speeds that flipped tables and aimed the flat of her blade at the back of the mercenary's head.

"Yeah... I'm Nicholas by the way." Nicholas said to Alice. Just then...

"Whaaaaaaa..." Nicholas said as Jolokia jumped from the mirror, attacked Hawk, and went all hammy. He then focused on Kiyomi.

"Erm... Well... Um... So long as we don't act like jackasses, we won't turn into a literal jackass, so I guess we'll be good..."

Hawk raised his hand instinctually, gripping the blade of Beatrice's sword and grinning fiercely, moving it away from his head, it crackled with an unknown energy

"Bring it on!"

He swung at her stomach, aiming to unbalance her.

Alice watched as the events unfolded. "Oh, for God's sake. I guess some things never change..." she muttered to herself. She went behind the bar and poured herself a large drink. She reached into the pocket of her apron and pulled out a tub of pills. She took two out, put the tub back and took the pills with the drink, downing the entire contents.

Frowning, the drow samurai drew both of her swords and turned to the fighting pair. The attacks were more like light taps—at worst, the pair would find themselves maybe scratched—but the important part was the effects riding on the attack. Beatrice would have a supernatural terror descending on her mind and urging her to get away from Myr; Hawk would find himself unable to speak and with his vision blinded by petals. All three effects could be shaken off or avoided, but...

"Stop fighting," the drow said, frowning, "It's pointless."*

Vasiliki would've answered Amando, but the other people present in the bar thought that fighting each other was the best idea for some odd reason. She opened her beak, then thought better of it. Turning to Amando, she said, “I'm Vasiliki. Vasiliki Leonedas. I'm the Inheritor of Khonsu. I do apologise.”
Opening her beak again, she shrieked loudly; it sounded like an attacking falcon. Hopefully it'll catch the fighting people's attention.

It was clear to Kiyomi, already, that there was no real need to hide magic here. And two people were already fighting. The idiot and some other girl. Kiyomi sighed. This was stupid, and totally pointless. Admittedly, Kiyomi kind of liked fighting, too, but she always did it to take out bad guys, or at least got to an agreement with whoever wanted to be her opponent, or something! She didn't just... what was even going on here? It was stupid.

And at the moment, Kiyomi really, really wasn't in the mood for stupid.

"Fighting for no reason?" she asked, sighing and raising her right hand until it pointed at the idiot and the girl, palm facing them, "Really? When we've all be dragged here for some reason? Is this really the time?"

In her mind, the preparatory portion of one of her weak offensive spells recited itself. Her magic circle materialized, layers of circles surrounding a star. It took up a space roughly the same size as her hand.

"If you keep being morons, I'll put a stop to it myself."

Alice poured herself another drink. She didn't usually drink, but after a shitty day at work and now this, she could use it. Working in a bar was hard. Working in a villain's bar was even harder. She examined the room she was in. It was similar in shape to her workplace back on Earth, but it missed something. Instead of the babble of people discussing their plans, victories and defeats, there was the cold silence.

She shuddered and walked over to the two people fighting, holding a couple of bottles over her head, a common technique she used to get people to stop fighting. Either the threat made them stop in fear, or the glasses embedded in their heads made them in too much pain to continue.

"...We've all been brought here for some reason... Hmmm..." Jolokia pondered, not paying much attention to the brawling couple. She wasn't that used to this "thinking" thing, after all, so she really had to focus hard on doing it. "...Clearly, since I am here this is a gathering or heroes and... And other awesome people! And there are definitely not any villains here because if there were they would feel the backhand of justice and change their ways when surrounded by so many clearly heroic people! Yes, that sounds about right!"

The demon swordswoman lept from the bar, bouncing off of Hawk's head once more before landing on the opposite side of the room. "...So clearly, we are all here for a grand adventure! And that is awesome because I like adventures almost as much as I like swords, and I like swords more than anything else in the world!"

Deciding the intervening would be pointless, Alice placed the bottles on a table and once again tried to teleport away. She hated not being able to teleport. She had only gained the power three years ago, but she had grown dependent on it. The last time it was blocked, shortly after she had gained it, she had nearly been killed. She was feeling uneasy right now, constantly looking over her shoulder to check no one was going to clock her round the head or shoot her.

Marek in the meantime had swung away from his spot in the ceiling and landed cross-legged on a table, watching the strange individuals argue before him. Secretly, he had reached inside his bag and grabbed his blowgun along with a dart coated in a numbing poison and hid it in his shirt. If the worst was to come then he would simply fired a dart into the mans leg rather than ecalate the situation with more threats.

What was interesting was the magic circle that somebody formed in her hand. He had never seen that type of magic circle before in his books as even the design was foreign. Before he could try to understand the spell, his attention was broken by a green haired girl jumping around and talking about adventure, "Well before any of us is to go on a journey we must know our where our starting point is.", he said as he stood up and walked towards the door of the bar.

As soon he opened the door his eyes went wide as he stood still in shock and whispered, " Starmine…"

Type-Moon slid a glance over to Jolokia then looked at Alice with a frown. "WELL this place is full of boring people..." she blinked once, turned her eye to the wall and just started writing down ideas on a small piece of paper on the countertop.

"Oh no," Amando waved a hand dismissively at the bird-woman's apology, "No offense taken, Miss Leonedas! I'm charmed to meet you, milady. I've never had the good fortune to meet a non-human such as yourself, you know. It's a real honor. I'm a mercenary by trade, so if you should ever have need of my services, don't hesitate to ask." He smiled genially, slipping on a pair of tinted sunglasses from his coat pocket. Judging by the way she introduced herself, she seemed to be nobility of some kind. Best to play it safe and be sure not to step on any of her toes (talons?)... at least for now.

Slouching back in his recently-acquired seat and leaning his elbows on the bar as he surveyed the antics of the room at large, he overheard the odd young girl with greenish hair complain that the place was full of bores. "Oh, come on now," he protested, grinning widely at her, "you can't seriously call this boring, can you? I'll tell you what, I haven't seen a good bar fight in ages!"

Ignoring the somewhat whimsical suggestion of embarking on a grand adventure for the moment, he called out to the rest of the patrons. "Oi! They seem pretty eager to beat the stuffing out of each other, so why not just let them? Hell, you trigger-happy folks seem to be hankering a fight just as much, so why don't we just make it a round-robin deal and see who the most powerful warrior is? Non-lethal, but to say... the third sound hit for either competitor, or something. Losers have to clean up the mess. Uh," he paused, reining in his growing desire for bloodsport momentarily and glancing back at the bartender, "at least, if that's fine by our generous host here?"

Noting that the donkey-headed man and presumed owner of the swanky little establishment had said absolutely nothing amidst the chaos that was playing out in his own bar, Amando activated his Geass - conveniently concealed as usual by his shades - as he spoke and peeked into the bartender's mind, immensely curious as to just what he was thinking.
