Evidently not but it doesn't make his reasoning any less stupid.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Ah, but that is where you fail to grasp the truth:
You see, Goku is kinda dumb.
It make perfect sense his reasoning would be dumb.
Either way, he has reasons to go out, and no reasons to stay. Some would say "Well, but who's gonna protect Earth in his absence?" and the answer would be that he intended for Gohan to do it. Gohan, who was already more than twice as strong as Goku was.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWhat is even your point? Goku not being the brightest guy (and even then, he's not an idiot) doesn't change his reasoning being stupid.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm saying that it isn't stupid to him. To him it makes perfect sense.
Or, to put it in other words... it's a character doing as a character is.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo, like I said, my problem is trying to communicate that without making Goku look like a total dick. And then trying to make it so he doesn't look like a total dick for choosing to stay alive after Buu.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! Here's the thing: Babidi's appearance had nothing to do with Goku. But he showed up anyways. So clearly, Goku's reasoning was wrong.
Although, coincidentally, he just happened to show up on the one day Goku was alive again.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Goku's Genre Savvy.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThen again, if Goku hadn't have been there. Vegeta wouldn't have been so anxious to fight him that he allowed Babidi to power him up.

One Strip! One Strip! So I've been pondering an idea where Raditz never came to earth because the Saiyans were lucky enough to take Frieza down even when he destroyed the planet.
With no space aliens, the next threat would be the Androids, who'd be a lot weaker (though still stronger than the Z warriors) due to not having data on the battles with the Saiyans (Cell would also be weaker). The more I think about it, the more I doubt if it would work.
At the least, When Buu arrives, they'd be in much bigger shit (though they'd also not have Vegeta to turn on them).
I'm actually thinking that something could happen to make Gero field the androids much earlier than in canon, maybe believing he's seen the maximum of their power.
Like I said, it's not too good. I think I've mentioned this idea before.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think Buu would be able to come around, since the planet's power level would be too low.
My various fanfics.Really, the turning point for a story like that is if Goku would ever go Super Saiyan.
...god, imagine what would happen if he did turn Super Saiyan without knowing anything about his heritage. He would be so confused.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! Why do I feel so much rage?!
One Strip! One Strip!Also!
Me and Zen are actually working on that Girl!Goku fic. Which sounds better, "Adventures of the Monkey Queen", or "Dragon Ball: Girl Power Edition"?
My various fanfics.Adventures of the Monkey Queen.
I'm so zen.
Just for the record, it's probably going to be a fairly lighthearted fair. Also, there are going to be more changes than just Goku's gender. The outcomes will remain largely the same but the journey will differ in several places. Some more than others.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Ooh, I'm really excited to read that!! I think I'd have to go with the first name, as well.
In the meantime, I'm still working on that damn scene with Goku. I shouldn't have listened to my reviews, this is really difficult. But, at the same time, Goku hasn't shown up at all in my story so far. I have to at least show people he still exists.
...when you're trying to be subtle, Goku REALLY gets in the way.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Well, yeah, he does.
Goku thinks Subtlety is for chumps who can't handle being direct and straightforward.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariHere's a quote I like from a story I read.
That's right. His wife bands him from training. This single act showed just how horrible, how twisted and evil she really was. There was a reason he loved her.
Edit: It's from a story called Broken Record. My favorite part about it is how it portrays Hercule (The villains are a group of low level ki users trying to tell the world the truth of the cell games). He repeatedly fights against people he knows are much stronger than him to save his daughter. It's a nice change from people who seem to treat him as the scum of the Earth.
"Do you know who truly defeated Cell."
Gohan tilted his head. He stayed quiet but a smirk tugged at his lips.
"Yes," he answered teasingly.
"Who?!" shouted Truth the second Gohan answered, completely giving up his straight posterior as he asked, leaning forwards and bringing out his arms from his sides. Truth seemed to lose himself in his excitement of finally learning who truly defeated Cell.
"Who was it? Who truly saved us? Who really saved us from Cell?" he asked, his voice completely losing its neutral tone.
Gohan smiled fully now and a glint of mirth made its way into his eyes.
"Hercule did."
Silence rained over the gym, filled only by the heavy breathing of Truth and the muffled groans of Zack.
"Don't play games with me," growled Truth, his voice sounding sinister. "Tell me truthfully, who really saved this planet."
"Hercule," repeated Gohan, his grin now wide as he stared into truth's mask. "Hercule created the catalyst. He couldn't defeat Cell in combat, but thanks to his actions Cell was defeated. Just as it was thanks to my father's sacrifice that this planet wasn't destroyed. There were lots of people who could claim the credit for Cell's defeat, and one of those people happens to be Hercule. That's why none of us mind that he took the credit. He kind of earned it in his own little way."
Gohan grinned as Truth began to shake with anger.

If Goku hadn't been there, Pilaf would have ended up ruling the world.
Although you'd have to wonder how long he could have clung to the position (after all, I don't think he specified 'ruling the world forever') or how much of a terrible ruler he'd have made. This is a guy who was horrified by Bulma insinuating he'd force himself into her, and overall he was rather childlike in his 'cruelty'. Odds are he might have been satisfied with some tribute and a lot of public praise, while others actually kept the world running under his figurative rule.
Given he was gonna ask the wish out of Shenron, and Shenron isn't a Jerkass Genie, for the most part anyway, it's likely that the wish to become ruler of the world would come with a 100% approval rating, so he probably would just sit back and get tribute while the world pretty much runs itself the same way it does under King Dog Guy.
Anyway...
Christmas existing in the Dragon Ball world...
In the Dragon Ball world, the closest thing to Jesus they have is Piccolo Jr., and that's utterly hilarious to me.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariShenron can play with people's wishes when he wants. Like when Pilaf and the gang wished for youth before Battle of Gods so Shenron turned them into kids. Or when Freeza's goons wished Freeza back to life so Shenron returned him as bite-sized chunks. Shenron usually grants what a person actually wants rather than the literal meaning of their words but he can be a Jerkass Genie if he wants.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Hence why I said 'for the most part'.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimari
Oh, yes, you say all of that...
But would Goku see it that way?
