I really hope this doesn't last long, its really hard to tell where Ryuko's character is going at this point.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.oh I know I am fine with her when they explained why those senketsu transformation occur. I mean Ryuko is at least genre savvy and self-aware of the rudiculousness in the show so that is a plus.

What giants doSame. Both of of the times Ryuuko's lost her way, it's felt like she had a justifiable emotional reaction to what was happening around her.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialhey at least she is not sobbing and sulking about her predicament.
What giants doOk, I've calmed down. Talked with some people, and analyzed the entire thing. While I'm not going to excuse Ryuko's actions, let's look at the situation logically.
Ryuko started the series with a firm idea of who she is, where she came from, and what she had to do. Get revenge for her Dad so she can get some closure. The problem is, things got more complicated for her as the series went one; first she finds out that her Dad made some super powered Sailor outfit, and after thinking who her target was for so long, she finds out it was someone else entirely who killed her Dad and also finds out that she risks killing herself should she let her emotions get the better of her. She gets over the emotions part, but then gets savagely beaten as a ploy and nearly lost Senketsu as a result, yea she put him back but that's not the point, the point is she was exploited and beaten down. So then she finds out that her Dad had intended Ryuko to be a "savior" of some kind and lead an entire organization, she's distraught understandably, but gets over it. And finally, two people who she thought were her enemies end up being her sister and mother respectively, on top of finding out that she's technically not completely human.
Everything Ryuko was led to believe was a lie, that's why she keeps losing her way, because she doesn't know what her way is anymore. I feel the series is less about Ryuko kicking ass and showing the villains what for, and more about finding out more about herself and coming to terms with it.
There...I made today's episode somewhat more bearable for myself.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Oh she was an asshole for telling Senketsu to fuck off, but I think its understandable how she's in that mood.
Like I said before, next episode she's gonna try to bum rush Honnouji in a suicide mission, and obviously it'll go to shit.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Have you guys considered Ryuuko is doing this to protect Senketsu?
I did, yeah.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialOr its the music fucking with her.
But as usual, internet is overreacting.
I think Ryuko went into a self imposed coma out of fear of what she was (She was sleeping for a month) Maybe if she had been left to sleep she could have sorted her feelings with time. However Ragyo and COVERS being assholes wouldn't let that happen (remember that Ragyo told Nui she had taken some steps against Ryuuko) and played loud music to force her out of her sleep before her mind could recover from the psychological trauma and sort itself out, waking Ryuko in a VERY mentally unstable state , which is why she said what she said. IT'S ALL PART OF RAGYO'S PLAN

Sanageyama's Nudist Beach harness includes three crotch-holsters. Magnificent.
What's precedent ever done for us?I do not get how someone can walk up, able-bodied and being able to speak, from a month-long coma after her heart is forc-i-bly ripped out of her bo-dy!!!! But then, this is TRIGGER, so.
LIFE FIBERS, DAUGHTER.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI don't think she, at the bottom of her heart, means it, but she definitely was being an asshole. But that's what humans do.
Did you miss the whole "She is a Life Fiber Hybrid" thing from last week?

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.I did not miss that, but I suppose that basically makes her and her mother living dolls of some kind. So I suppose it's possible.
Also, I imagine this is basically Ryuuko pulling an Egoraptor after all the shit she's been through the last couple of months.
"YOU GOTTA DRAW THE LINE SOMEWHERE! YOU GOTTA DRAW A FUCKING LINE IN THE SAND, SENKETSU! YOU GOTTA MAKE A STATEMENT! YOU GOTTA LOOK INSIDE YOURSELF AND SAY 'WHAT AM I WILLING TO PUT UP WITH TODAY?' NOT! FUCKING! THIS!"

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.I would like that this episode isn't the first time damage to the heart has done nothing to a life fiber/human hybrid. Ragyo recovered with no problem when Satsuki stabbed her multiple times in episode 17
Well, well, well, looks like I predicted it all.
A love that crushes like a mace. Also as much as I understand Ryuko's feelings, this still makes me chuckle in relation to her:

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Holy cow, another awesome episode!
Sangeyama still a bro, and his bros were bro too.
Nonon, new outfit was hwat.
Ha! So Ishin WAS Soichiro after all.
Poor Ryuoko she thinks she's a monster.
I totally predict that Raygo plan of putting Satsuki in "The Ultimate Kamui" will backfire epically when Satsuki overrides it's control and kicks her ass.
Dat Satsuki, still kicking, still with a plan.
Looks like Satsuki learned something from Groucho Marx.
Ah, Ryuko, I know that feel, sis.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
People are emotional beings. She doesn't have a concrete idea of who she is anymore, and that has really gotten to her. So I feel it makes sense for her to have an emotional meltdown like this.
