"Wait! Wait, you sodding trigger-happy-! We can still talk about this!"

Not wanting to lose the chance to talk to the only enemy combatant who might actually be able to understand her, Alice pushed her way past Ashley and onto the beach. "I might be new at this, and I don't really get what's going on with this whole bloody mess, but what do you mean by 'things I saw'? Because I get the feeling it's something that would affect all the rest of us too, right? Can't you just explain that much to us, as a fellow Magical Girl? I don't think I could stand to sit idly by and not join Drakan if... you know."

Emboldened by the enemy's retreat, Tammy charged forward until the sucking of the swampy muck at her boots forced her to stop.

Maya continued to advance carefully, her nose still stinging from last time. Her hands were itching, however, and she looked for ways to facilitate burying her Kusarigama inside a golem or two.

"Feh. Now you're just being stupid," Prita replied to Rachel.

It was time to move to the next part of the plan — be as obnoxious as possible, to give Giz a decent excuse to defect. "Giz, Hannah, what are you doing?" Prita said, in a softer voice than when she was talking to Rachel, but still loud enough to be overheard. "You know I need to get behind the front lines in order to buff, and you're in the way doing nothing. And for your information, I'm not going to stand in a sodding swamp either — not if there's a perfectly fine space elsewhere." She left unsaid the fact that she couldn't actually get to the front lines in time.

Victoria dashed forward, trying to stay with the group and not lose her footing on the sodden ground. Within her head, Boudicca complained about the annoyances of seaside fighting while seawater splashed up and drenched her boots. She squinted up at Alice - what was that girl doing? Well, maybe it'd end up working...

"Oh yeah? Well maybe if your mother had loved you, you could come up with better insults!" Rachel shot back at Ashley. In a more literal sense, the dark magic girl's hands began glowing, and she caught the cannon Ashley had just shot. Spinning about in the air, she twirled faster and faster until she released the projectile right back at Ashley.

"Kraken that, bitch." Rachel said with a smug smile. Turning away to shout at Alice once more she looked on with a cocky grin that disappeared when her whole body froze. "What the- What the hell?" She pulled with all her might, trying to pull her feet from the ground but to no avail. "What did you do to me!?"

"Nice one!" Erika said as she passed Alice. "Now let's sink this sucker! Pirate..." Erica's cannon arm grew larger than normal, then split in two. Two glowing guns leveled themselves at Rachel. "Hunter!"

The twin blasts caught Rachel at the same time the GDB and golems rushed in on the three water girls. The fight was ferocious, but brief. Within just a few short seconds only Alice remained.

Over on the land bridge a similar scenario was taking place. With Rachel distracted, the golems who had been falling back went right back to advancing on the Atlantis Team. Tammy and Winter were nearest so the monsters fired on them as soon as they were in range. It turned out the stubby trees and muck they were wadding through was as much a blessing as a curse. It slowed down their movements to be sure, but shielded them from direct hits. The charging golems actually came out worse for wear after their attack.

"Argh, I'll be rememberin' this betrayal, you yellow-bellied coward!" Ashley shouted across the water to Magda, before passing out.

"Oh man, we better hurry!" Hannah shouted, leapfrogging over Tammy. "Get behind me, I'll save everybody!" she shouted, sling already in hand as she rocketed a stone from it at a nearby golem.

Hannah to 18.11. Attack 19.11.

"Quit hogging the glory, Hannah!" Giz shouted, diving into the fray beside her roomie and lunging at the first golem to come into her sights. In the distance, she saw the water girls getting decimated by the bat-things and rolled her eyes.

This group is so useless, she thought.

Tammy, on the other hand, dropped to her knees, clutching her sides and trying to bite back the pain from the golem's attacks. She had managed to grit her teeth and return fire thanks to the adrenaline rush of her first live combat, but it had already faded, giving way to the agony of their attacks. For a few moments she crouched there, holding herself and trying to get the pain under control, then she struggled to her feet and fell back a few yards until she was sure she was out of the enemy's firing range, the thought of going back into that bombardment making her stomach threaten revolt.

Tammy Rests, move to 15.12 with Fresh Horses.

"What did I do? I didn't do anything to you!" Alice exploded rapidly, her frustration finally bubbling over, "You know what? Bugger it! I haven't even lifted a single finger since coming here except in self-defense. I've been trying to negotiate and just talk this entire time because I thought maybe, just maybe, we could work out our differences and you could start sodding explaining what you're bloody on about with this Drakan bollocks, but apparently only your body has figured that out and your daft brain hasn't caught up with it yet!"

The blonde's gaze hardened and she dropped her weapon, desummoning it. "Well fine then. Maybe the time for words has passed. If appeals to reason won't work, I guess it's time to resort to more drastic methods! Call me a devil if you want - it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen!" She extended an arm to her side and grasped at the air, her spear re-materializing in a more clearly magical form of molded purple and gold electricity.

"It shall be engraved upon your soul!" she roared, hurling the lance of lightning straight towards Rachel, "HADOKEN!"

Alice stays in place, Attacks Rachel.

Magda glared at Ashley and the bats as her wings repaired the damage they'd taken. "Fich dich," she snapped at the unconscious girl. She took a deep breath, adjusting her stance (though almost purely as a reflex, considering she was standing on thin air) and shot forward grimly, stopping sharply and pivoting to fire on the bats.

Victoria squinted at Alice's quoting. "Honestly, mixing Nanoha and Street Fighter... You couldn't do Nanoha and Gundam?! At least those two are related!" she yelled.

Prita moved up to the front line, changing places with a rapidly retreating Tammy. "Nice, time for a clear shot at the enemy!" she stated. Then, turning to Giz and Hannah, she added, "You're big girls at full health — it's better that I go on the attack than if I buff you for now. I'm sure you understand, right? I...er, we can take out the enemy quicker that way."

While everyone else was focused on the trio of golems that was blocking the way to the enemy magical girl, Maya was looking for an alternative way. Surveying the scene, she saw another path. True, it was guarded by a dog and a golem, but with some support she could get past them — straight to the enemy's unprotected flank.
She waved until she caught Kat's attention. Maya pointed to herself, then to the smaller group of enemies, then to Kat. Without waiting to see whether the Russian girl answered or not, she somersaulted over Prita and ran over the dunes.

Kat stepped up behind one of the other girls and fired off an attack at the nearest golem, meanwhile keeping an eye out to cover the girl to the south.

"Ohohoho, looks like little Winter's a bit too skilled for the likes of ye lot!" Between her taunting and posing, the other magical girls burst past her, attacking the golems. "Hey, I was pausing for dramatic impact there! Could've waited for me to finish!"

"I - wait, what?" was all Rachel had time to say before being knocked down by the fury of Alice's attack. She screamed and in reaction to her voice the sand around them rose and swirled around her like a beach tornado. The sand obscured Alice's vision, blocking the enemy girl from view. As abruptly as it had begun, the sand stopped, particles dropping like rocks back to the ground. Rachel remained unseen. She did not quite remain unheard, however, and the sound of someone running into a tree was gleaned by a yelp and the snapping of branches.

The monsters reacted to the attach on their mistress with a predictable fashion. Every one of them within range converged upon Alice. In swooped one bat, then another. Magda arrived in time to stop the last one but her rescue efforts proved in vain when the land monsters turned their fire on Alice, burying her under a sea of explosions. When the smoke cleared, she had joined the other Water magical girls as beached wrecks.

Over on the land bridge, the monsters continued their haggard defense, but outgunned and outnumbered, they were falling victim to the relentless, if bickering, energy of the Atlantis Team.

"Shut up and just do it, Prita! You've already proven you don't care what anyone else thinks about your tactics!" Giz snapped as she skewered the golem in front of her. "Hmph," she grunted satisfactorily at the feeling of her spear piercing through the misshapen thing's back, and flung the golem into the sea with a twist of her arm. Looking up the beach, she could see that their path was almost entirely clear already, giving them a clear line to... wait, where'd she go?!

"Hey! You think you're gonna seduce any of us to the dark side by running away and hiding? Show yourself!" she shouted in the general direction she'd last seen Rachel in, and charged past the remaining golems.

Giz to 22.11, Defend.

"Damn it Giz, move!" Hannah shouted, trying to get past the other magical girl who was planted firmly in the way. "Fine! Whatever! I saw this in a movie once."

She turned around and pressed her back against Giz, and shot a stone at a hellhound. "I'll keep an eye on your back!"

Maya rolled her eyes. No support again, and she was up against two opponents.
Kill! Death! her Wisp shouted in her mind, eloquent as always, and she groaned. “Fuck you,” she told the hellhound, doubting it'll understand, and attacked. She didn't use her kusarigama, however; instead, she clapped her hands, causing a small, brown orb with a lit fuse sticking out of it to appear.
“Eat Ninja bombs!” she shouted, throwing the bomb at the hellhound.
Maya attacks Hellhound at 17.15 with Iga-ryu bomb (short-range attack).

"Fine then!" Prita replied to Giz. "Go on ahead and leave the rest of us to take on the enemy in our midst. Just don't complain to me when you get stabbed in the back by Little Miss Craven."

I hope I'm selling this decently, she thought to herself, shuddering with relief when she stepped out of the swamp.

Prita to 18.11, attacks hound at 19.11, if hound is killed attacks golem at 18.10, if both are killed gives two health to any magical girl at three health or less, the lower health the better.

"Hey fuck you too, bitch!" Hannah shouted at Prita.

Solely for the purpose of sticking to the plan, of course.

"The only backstabber I'm worried about here is you!" Giz shouted back.

Meanwhile, if either 18.10 or 19.11 is still alive Tammy watched the other girls advancing, so unafraid of the enemy that they were turning their backs on them, and a pang of guilt ran through her chest.

"You didn't come all this way jus' ta run away, didja, girl?" she muttered to herself, picking herself back up. Despite her injuries, she pushed forward again until the enemy was in range again, and nocked an arrow. "I ain't scared'a you!" she proclaimed, mostly to herself, and let fly.

Tammy to 17.11, Attack whichever enemy is still standing.

OR if both golems are already defeated:

Tammy watched the golems ahead of her on the narrow land bridge drop, and breathed a sigh of relief followed immediately by a pang of guilt that she hadn't done more to help take them down.

"Takin' care of yer own injuries first is more important, 'specially when the other girls are in better shape," she told herself, trying to assuage some of that feeling, but not entirely succeeding. After a moment more to catch her breath, she got back to her feet and followed the others up the beach.

"WOOOOOHOOOOO!" Winter, seemingly unaware of the banter going on between the girls around her, flew past some of the enemies, and turned back with her giant sword to attack whichever enemies were left. "I have no idea what ye girls are talking about but we should probably get rid of these bad guys first," she yelled, Scottish accent fading in and out of her voice.

In was a victorious surge, the Atlantis Team slew all those who came before them. In her hiding place, Rachel bit her lip, trying hard not to respond to the provocations of Prita.

"Blub blub blub." Erica went, still knocked out with her face in the water.

Skipping along, she was flanked by two GD Bs, and was seemingly oblivious to the fight that was going on. In her hand was a paper to-go bag from In-n-Out.

"Like, oh, wow, Rachel! You were right! These burgers are, like, to die for! I had four before I came back! I was thinking - Oh, what's animal style anyway? Anyways, I was thinking, we should totally buy a bunch of these and then sell them back on the other side to the girls going to the other fronts. We'd make, like, a killing!"

It was only after one of her flying servants began hissing at the Atlantis team did Ahn take notice. "Oh, hey, what's going on here?"

"There must be a God, because he spared me the hassle of having to chase down that Burmese bitch," Hannah said to Giz as she darted into a tree, weapons poised. "It would be more convenient if she were close enough to punch right now, but whatever, let's deal with what we came here for first, so we can take our time drowning her."

Ashley's spirit, meanwhile, was attempting to summon dolphins to her aid. Or otters. At this point she'd take what she could get. Not like she could do anything else.

YOU!! Giz screamed, shock and disgust evident on her face as the memory of being blasted through a decorative palm tree came to the forefront of her mind. Screw this, the other chick was invisible anyway. It was time for revenge.

"You're mine!"

Turning her back on the objective just before Rachel faded back into the visible spectrum, Giz charged back the way the Atlantis team had come, already picturing Ahn Xi lying at her feet as she passed Tammy.

"Wait, what's going on?" Tammy said, halfway through following the other girls up the beach and doing a double take between the two older girls, unsure of which one to follow now.

"Shoot," she grumbled, and kept going. That Rachel girl was the objective, after all, and the blue-haired one was weird, but the vampire-looking girl was weird and scary. There was a dog threatening Blue's back, and Tammy loosed a volley at it.
