I liked the idea of chapters 5-8, and it was fun seeing how things went differently in each world, but going through the same dungeons over and over again got dull. At least you can turn off Random Encounters, only re-enabling them to level any new jobs and learn new genome abilities.
Just be glad we didn't get the original Bravely Default. Not being able to turn off encounters during that part of the game would probably have made the game significantly less liked.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Didn't For The Sequel also add in some of the changed interactions that at least differentiated the cutscenes leading into each repeated boss fight?
I have a message from another time...So the new composer is Ryo. Maybe this mean that we get vocaloid song sin this game
for the sequel added more than that. The different boss fights in chapters 7 and 8 didn't exist in the original. Chapters 7 and 8 were the exact same as 5 and 6. Yep.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!If that's the case, then you're probably better off just skipping them and rushing through the plot. I think technically they only exist in every chapter because they didn't want you to be unable to get a job asterisk that you missed the first time around.
Bunch more screens from Second

Good gravy. That sounds dull beyond belief.
So, only chapter 6 had anything remotely different in the original version? Or did the Conjurer quest not exist as we know it?
I have a message from another time...Only chapter 6.

Overall, it was interesting in concept, but I would've found it far more enjoyable had they changed things up a little bit more between chapters, like new dungeons and such, to at least make it feel a little less like an endless recursion of time.
Imagine how bored Airy must have been. She's been through the recursion for god-knows-how-many times.
Song of the SirensSpeaking of, I wonder what her wings looked like at the start of all of this, if they've been counting down the whole time.
I think I'm blind because I was never able to see the numbers on her wings, even after the characters started pointing it out.
You know, I had managed to completely avoid spoilers of any kind before I started playing this game.
Yet somehow I had Airy fingered as evil pretty much from the start. I just instantly disliked her, and found her incredibly specific information suspicious.
And now I'm wondering if that's because of good writing, a lucky guess on my part, or some sort of precognition that only applies to fiction.
The initial 5 didn't really stand out, but the 4 was really obviously a 4.

Biggest takeaways are new jobs, and returning jobmasters

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaOh. What a shocking and not-played-out novelty.
But, they're almost all dead? I'm pretty sure they're dead. I did for them myself in the first four chapters.
...Qada and Derosa had better be dead.

I have a message from another time...I hope the Red Mage remains viable.
I don't care whether they're pathetic or not, I like the Red Mage job.
Red Mage Jobmaster can rot in hell, but the job itself is cool.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. If BP Recovery comes back, Red Mage will still be viable.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!You don't actually need BP recovery to see Red Mage awesomeness.
Ever seen an Epic Group-Cast critical Thundara off your own team's reflect? The numbers are quite impressive, and the only downside is that it's hard to rush it to keep up the music bonus.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Well, yeah.
Well, as long as Black Mage and Red Mage get the same skills as usual, Red Mage will be one of your most efficient BP batteries, even without a secondary class.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Red Mage can be somewhat useful with Phantom Weapon, Spell Critical, and the conjurer as a sub-job for crit rate boosts.

Well, the confirmed surviving Job Masters for the main universe are Praline, Braev, DeRosso (in all but one universe), Yulyana, and Alternis (shown alive with Edea and Braev in the true ending). So I imagine they'll be in-game.
Also Einheria, Khamer, and DeRosa, because Magnolia is shown having their jobs as well as Praline's

With the new composer and the new writing team, Bravely Second is likely going to have a different feel than Bravely Default.
Edit: Not too shabby for a page topper.
