Hakase is professor, and it's usually attached to reserachers. Doctors are referred to as sensei. Doushi is a catch-all term for high-ranking priests, usually leaders, but it's also used for spiritualists guiding the souls of the dead.

Well doctor technically means "professor" even in English. Apparently that distiction's the same, but you're right when you say hakase is typically used to refer to researchers.

Isn't he called Doctor Victor in English, too?

He might be, actually.

Jeez Qada is hard. Removing Damage Dispersion seems mandatory, otherwise he'll wipe your whole party out with Dark Breath. Haven't been able to beat him just yet.

Yes. Unless you've got HP in the 8000 range, Damage Dispersion is not going to help.

It's simply one of those cases where you don't have the tools necessary to deal with the problem, and have to rely on the gritty "revive and repeat" formula. At the very least, use poison immunity items and skills, so his Poison Hi-Potions won't add to the load on the healer.

If you get ninja first (which requires putting it off for a while), then you have the tools to deal with it. It's not really difficult at all though. Phoenix Downs.

I mean, it's kind of annoying but I wouldn't call the fight difficult because of it.

It's possible to hit the damage cap with Salve-Maker. Use a compound to inflict Dark-Weak, and then just repeat a 5000 damage compound while it lasts. 9999 damage for every BP.

Mind you, it's either expensive as hell, or near impossible to grind up, so it's not a sensible combination. Just plausible (it's also necessary for low level runs against the final boss).

It's expensive as hell, but after a certain point, Compounding items and potions are the only things worth spending money on.

Just beat him a few moments ago.

With Dispel you can just wear him done easily enough and rez as needed, and he'll occasionally waste a turn setting up Water of Life again. I would of been SOL if Tiz and Ringabel were K Oed since I had no Phoenix Downs on me, but fortunately that never happened.

[up][up]Yeah, I just don't recommend it until you've bought everything else.

And even then, you might want to spend it on Merchant abilities instead. It all depends.

You can neutralize Kada's OHKO completely with Valkyrie's Spirit Barrier and Pirate's Provocation. He'll always be targeting the same person for damage to their MP, so they can't die. And Valkyrie doesn't need MP anyway, though you'll have to throw an Ether if he tries it again.

While I agree that Spirit Barrier can give you a little more time against his damage cap attack, provoke is just making the RNG slightly more favourable to you.

It's still a good idea to bring along a bunch of potions, ethers, and phoenix downs.

The original had me laughing at dough face Tiz and Ringabel, to be honest. Thank god the CG models rarely ever show up.

That was so anime I'm late for school with toast in my mouth. Anyway, it's out the 24th, Tiz's outfit looks dumb and still no sign of pompadour man.

In any event, I'm super pumped myself.

I'm pretty sure that Ringabel will be in the game as Alternis.

I wonder if Edea will judge him, Kamiizumi, and her father, though...
