How far in Chapter 6?
Do they know yet? I don't actually know the criteria for it, but maybe that's a thing that needs to happen?
I have a message from another time...Fourth Crystal. I've beaten all the chapter 6 sub-quests as well, cause I thought that might've been the problem.
Hrm.
I guess it really is a question of button-mashing speed, then.
I have a message from another time...Turning off random encounters should definitely be a thing in more games.
Sometimes I want to backtrack without dealing with a ridiculous encounter rate!
I kind of don't think that's it, unless it's significantly harder than it has any right to be; I've watch part of a video of somebody doing it online and it didn't look any harder than the normal awakening part. I mean, I'll probably end up trying it again, but I'm not anywhere near hopeful that mashing harder will help.
But, well, this brings me back to my other question: Will I miss out on anything particularly good if I give up?
You miss the false ending and a dungeon I think.
It's the same dungeon you'll have to go through anyway, you just get to explore it earlier. And keep all the items you find.
Info from the ad. 30 Job Classes and 300+ Abilities.

Nice
A cool alternate ending? The other one is the "true" ending, but I feel it's best for the story to do both. Breaking the crystals takes annoyingly long, but it shouldn't be that hard.
So the Bravo Bikini scene happened and I had the audio set to Japanese just for curiosity sake.
I will not make that mistake again.
How so?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Agnes does that disturbing rape victim voice that's all the rage in anime all throughout the scEne, which made it even creepier than it already was.
Ah. Ew.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Worst part of the game. In any language.
I have a message from another time...So, I just finished the Flower Festival in Florem. What should my ideal level be?
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"Not actually sure.
Whether you can get past bosses or not tends to depend on party composition more than raw level. It's been possible to run a zero experience new game+ by clever use of jobs and abilities.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Yep. Job and ability party synergy >>>>> levels.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Derosa is a monster, in a story and gameplay sense. Here I was thinking I had this game on lock, than he came along to knock me off my pedestal entirely.
Would of been much smoother if I'd of leveled Summoner on everyone and hooked them up with Abate Lightning, but as was I got him by rushing him at about 10K HP. I was sure I'd wipe when he survived it with about 300 HP left, only for him to finish himself with a Thundara that bounced off of Agnes's Reflect.
What's with his weird backward cipher at the end of his notes? It's annoying but not exactly impossible to read.

Because those aren't the sorts of things he'd just leave lying around, but the devs didn't want to frustrate people by putting in a code that would require a degree in cryptography to decipher.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I bet it was written in english or something else in the japanese version of the game.
Yulyana being a creeper on Agnes when he's known her since childhood was very uncomfortable.
Why does Japan like that kind of thing? ._.
Ugh, I know, right?
Even if they wanted to hint at later events, it could've been done way better.
I have a message from another time...Lord's comment made me curious, so I swapped the text to Japanese and apparently he just changed the formatting or something? There's an arrow rather than something indicating to read it backwards, but I can't read Japanese for anything, so I've no idea what it means.
/is in chapter 6
And that was a good thought, Clarste, but if that's the problem I simply can't mash hard enough; ~3 minutes of as close to max speed as I could manage got me nothing.
