Ward didn't go through Villain Decay. He just was never that good in the first place. Great Dragon, godawful leader, but unable to understand that.
Haven't thought of a joke for "Ward" being one of my own names yet...
H.B. WardI pass a stoplight on Ward Ave. on my drive home from work. When it's red, I like to curse, "Goddammit, Ward."
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That spotlight is "It"s true identity.
So, I wasn't expecting this ever. Can't wait to watch it though.
Looks like the Marvel's Most Wanted spin-off just cast it's first new lead.
Delroy Lindo cast as Dominic Fortune
Dominic Fortune's Marvel Wiki page
I can't say I'm familiar with the actor or the character, so I don't really have a strong opinion on this, aside from feeling that it's a good thing the show is expanding the cast beyond Bobbi and Hunter.
Given the actor's age and what I could glean from the Marvel wiki profile, I'm guessing he'll be someone who worked with SHIELD (even if he was never in it officially) before it imploded, and retired when it did. Then Bobbi and Hunter pull him out of retirement because they need someone with a lot of experience to help them with whatever it is they are doing in the spinoff.
Objection. Mockingbird is actually a comic superhero.
And the complaint that they can't use the movie characters is getting really old.
Guy still has a cool voice I guess. He has that going for him.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYay, Dominic Fortune! Yay, Delroy Lindo!
At least Honest Trailer admitted that the show is just getting better and better. Though I don't know how they managed to forget Mockingbird.
Seriously, Mockingbird has some of the best scenes - case in point, her magnetic sticks versus Iron Chef guy!
Although I really wish they would just say that her code name is "Mockingbird." I really want them to just acknowledge that aside from the SDCC video. Perhaps they will in Marvel's Most Wanted.
As someone who likes Agents of Shield, I thought this was funny but I'm also glad it wasn't just completely slating it, because the show really has become something special.
Meh, honest trailers manage to be good because of that, it dosent feel like mockery for mockery sake(like to said...cinema sins) so they can call dibs to fandom as well.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So, any bets on Dominic Fortune getting killed in Most Wanted? Daredevil and Jessica Jones both killed older black men who helped the protagonists. So I figure Fortune's gotta be a goner.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Well, he's going to be a main character, so I think he's going to live. I mean, they haven't killed Mack yet.
In hindsight, I really agreed with Honest Trailers. Considering the incredible number of things the show is forced to work with considering its status as Marvel's lowest-profile, lowest-budget, highest-continuity show, it is actually much better than it should be.
@Mockingbird: I don't really think she should be considered a high-profile Marvel character, her codename hasn't been dropped, and her character development has not been the focus of an entire story arc, so that's probably why they didn't insist that much on her. They already had the "definitely not Black Widow" joke for May anyway.
I didn't remember! The detective From Jessica Jones died?
Crow: There's a plot? No, they actually cheated by leaving her out, because if they had mentioned her in the list of minor Marvel heroes turning up in the show it would have been obvious that Quake wasn't the only better known one they added - especially since Mockingbird is actually better known thanks to Earth mightiest heroes.
*4: On the other hand, they did kill Trip. Though that was an actor-leaving-the-show thing.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Quake was in EMH too. Appearing in an animated show - and not one of the most critically acclaimed or successful, for that matter, EMH isn't exactly rivaling JLA when it comes to popularity - does not make you "well-known", especially if you come from rather obscure comic book series such as Mockingbird (West Coast Avengers, Ka-Zar, Hawkeye - those aren't names that non-fans know).
They don't name-drop her in AOS, she isn't the focus of half a season, she doesn't wear a highly-recognizable costume, doesn't have any powers...yes, they could have mentioned her, but they definitely did not have to.

The Walking Dead reference tho.
In the honest trailer?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Oh yeah, that.
Well, they kind of do.
I don't know if Trip really added anything to the show other than old, WWII Shield swag and the occasional, television black guy one-liner.
"I bring the noise and the funk wherever I go."
Even Coulson looked at him like, "Did they seriously pay you to say that?"
I wanted him to be Ward's replacement. Would've worked fine even with Bobbi on the show. Having an escalating conflict with Ward, being his foil, that would've been great. Instead he was mostly present to be an extra body on the team.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!@Known Unknown Really? The way I've always heard the story about Tripp, the writers told him he was chosen to die in an upcoming episode and not that he actively chose to leave.

Ward is a villain I like to hate.
Kylo Ren is just whiny.
