But didn't the last episode pretty much confirm that Coulson always knew what the ship's cargo was? If it was the other Diviners, wouldn't Coulson then have known what the first Diviner was when they encountered it in the beginning of this season? IIRC he didn't seem to know anything about it, unless he was intentionally lying to his team to keep the secret?

Well, there's your Age of Ultron tie in. At least they didn't advertise it as some kind of bigger deal.
The thing in the cargo hold is a weapon to kill off the Inhumans, it seems.
It's a bit annoying that Jiayang is only now following up on the accusations of Raina being a horrible excuse for a human being. Or inhuman being, for that matter.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How do we know what the thing in the hold does?
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranThe Inhumans seem to know.
Anyway, Raina gonna Raina.
And by that I mean, be a manipulative bitch.
One Strip! One Strip!Man, it's like watching Snidely Whiplash maneuver two incoming trains together.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Ward...
Ward, Ward, Ward, Ward, Ward...
Holy shit! Jiayang's even more nuts than Gonzales!
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well that was a thing that just happened.
This song needs more love.......
Man, even if I'd had a high powered telescope, I would not have seen that coming.
We were all watching Gonzales so closely, so worried about Cal, and so sure Raina was stirring up shit, that we were totally blindsided.
Holy fuck!
One Strip! One Strip! Not sure if Jiayang's been spending too much time with Cal that he's rubbing off on her or if she's always been this nasty a person.
I'd imagine having your organs stuffed into jars and still being alive would leave you a little unhinged.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession."How dare you compare your scars to mine??"
Holy shit, that was badass. That was amazing.
Go Jiaying.
Also, Ward ICER'D Bobbi, he didn't fatally shoot her.
Sorry, Skye, but it turns out your mom is a bitch. Granted, one who's pretty damned hardcore.
Also, the vials on Cal. Could we see a full-on Mr. Hyde situation soon?
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. How many times can you ICER a person simultaneously before it starts getting lethal?
Jiaying is a dragon lady. Jiaying is a fucking Dragon lady!
Well...this episode happened...
I expected Gonzales to be the one to derail the negotiations, and it turned out to be Jiaying.
I honestly have no idea how this situation is going to end. The only thing I'm reasonably sure of is that Cal is going to go full Mister Hyde mode at some point. Beyond that, no idea.
Welp, that didn't go well.
To be fair, though, I can see where Jiaying is coming. They were trying to be nice about it, but SHIELD was still coming unilaterally and strong-arming the Inhumans. There is a difference between crating an index of isolated people who have no idea what is happening to them and doing the same in a self governing community who actually knows how to keep their own shit together. It is sheer arrogance of SHIELD to just come there, take control and assume everything is better now.
Jiaying is still a nasty manipulative bitch, though. I understand not simply giving in to SHIELD, but she should still have tried some dialog (even if taking appropriate precautions beforehand). Causing a war is not good for them either.
Agreed on all counts.
Here's a thought: Coulson was the better choice, not because he might have avoided such an incident (he might have, but I get the feeling Jiayang had long since made up her mind) but because there is nothing in the world that would make Skye believe that Coulson would try to shoot her mother. No-one would believe it.
So bad choices all around.
One Strip! One Strip!Glad Gonzales is dead he always seemed so holier then thou to me and having him knocked off his pedestal was great. true that though

Presenting!True. I wouldn't want Coulson to die, though, so I was actually kinda glad Gonzales had gone instead. Specially when you consider the possible aftermath of the "war". Think about it, if Coulson was dead, Gonzales would be the leader, and in his mindset that all gifted are dangerous would be all but vindicated. Coulson can at last believe that even if Jiaying is terrible, others might not be.
He died genuinely trying to be nice, though. That was just sad.

So that happened. [[Spoiler:Damn, everybody is just crazy this episode,Mack leaves SHIELD,Jiaying kills Gonzalez,And Bobbi is captured and shot 4 times by WARD.As soon as Jiaying was saying she had a gift for Gonzalez I knew all hell was about to break loose. For once I actually kinda felt bad for Raina, considering how right she was.2 Hour finale next week, can't believe it's been a year since season 1 already. And also the people of Skakovia owe Coulson a thanks, good job Theta protocol.]]

Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mind
They posted the second clip on the AoS twitter
So it seems whatever is in Gonzales's ship is Inhuman-related. The best theory I've heard so far is that it's the unaccounted for Diviners.
