Must be.
Oh no. They're going to go after the cellist.
That is a beautiful poster.
I'm not sure it's Hydra but yeah. Wonder if Coulson will head off to Portland and leave the kids with Dark Ward. (Evil Ward doesn't really fit.)
From what they've said it sounds like the villain isn't a member of HYDRA, just a Stalker with a Crush.
From what we can tell from both the creator comments and what happened in the episode, Garrett probably sent Blackout - who is the prisoner he told to "follow his dreams" in the Fridge - after the cellist (or, more precisely, gave him his freedom knowing he would pursue her) in order to distract Coulson, while Ward does his thing and acquires the information he needs from Skye (or kidnaps her, if need be).

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Clever bastard.
One Strip! One Strip! My money is that if Skye gets kidnapped, which is indeed possible, we will learn more about Skye's powers, and possibly by extension what Coulson's life-giving drug does and why him and Skye react differently to it from others.

You're a robot. What makes you think it behaves differently for Coulson and Skye ? I can buy it being weird for Skye, given her numerological nature, but with what Coulson went through....
Could be that Gavaton escapes while Skye is in HYDRA HQ and the Bus come to save her, forcing HYDRA and SHIELD to work together to stop him.
Then they all get ice-cream and patch up their differences. Skye and Ward run off to get married. Fitz-Simmons and Triplett hook up. Quinn gets stuck with the ice-cream bill for the entirety of SHIELD and HYDRA. The season ends with Coulson going "Don't forget the tip !" to a grumbling Quinn, everyone laughs, freeze-frame and close.
I love a happy ending.

That would be the greatest ending ever.
I feel so bad for fans of Ward. I don't know how I would feel if my favorite character turned out to be a cover persona for an uncaring asshole.

S.H.I.E.L.D. owned Skye for a while to protect her. As of now, the cure was used for a dead and near-dead person and restored them to health, all without causing any immediate change. Coulson has been back for a while at this point, but when used on regular people, as demonstrated by CENTIPEDE, the drug seems to be extremely harmful. Is it possible another component of Coulson's revival is Skye herself if they responded to the drug the same, at this point? Skye, being 0-8-4, has alien properties other humans don't, and that was placed inside Coulson to revive him.
You're a robot. The Centipede guys didn't get the drug. They got the random stuff Garret grabbed from GH before it blew up. He's no idea if he has the right compound or not. I would take a guess it's whoever owned GH's attempts to make the drug without the Kree body. Which... was less than successful.
And as a Ward fan (kinda) I'm happy. They didn't flick a switch and *poof*, he evaporated. "Ward" is still part of him, just not all of him.

Actually, all the events that happened actually made me a Ward fan myself.

Signatures are for lamers.Likewise. He's never been more interesting.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm hoping they can sustain this without just killing him off.
I'm a fan of Ward and Garret together as they seem to completely enjoy themselves and their work. Even if it is evil.
Presenting!Actually, I wouldn't mind a of motivation between them. Ward is loyal to Garret, but what, exactly, is Garret after ? Is it just money and power or is there something else there ?
Might be nice to know.
I'm beginning to think that what might happen is that in the season finale, Garrett gets killed off, and Ward becomes the new leader of Centipede. They have a lot in common, now that we have a better look at Ward's real personality, and Garrett has obviously been grooming Ward to be his successor.
The problem with that is Ward has not motivation independent of Garret. Why would he keep at it ? And would Quinn follow him ? We've time to go into Ward's history and find out why he is who he is, which could answer that.
While I fear he'll be killed off (I'm alost sure Garret will be), it might be Ward will end up imprisoned and that without the Fridge, they'll have to lock him up on the bus. Course, given how Coulson deals with betrayal, I wonder what mitigating circumstances might exist to not shoot him in the head.
The idea behind hydra is essentially to destroy freewill as it is believed by them to be the driving force behind all the bad things. So, Garret wants to help build a fascist state or at least be in a good position in one so he doesn't end up among the oppressed.
I was thinking he'd continue the work out of revenge and a sense of duty to his mentor. Duty seems to be something Ward genuinely feels strongly about; note he admits to Raina that he owes Coulson something, "but I owe Garrett everything."
I see less duty and more loyalty (bizarre as it may seem). He held Skye's 'betrayal' against her longer than the others and he even bitched out May when he found out she was spying on team. I realise part of it was covering that HE was going the betray them, but I think he's loyal to Garret and that loyalty tops all. When he said he owed Coulson something, I think that was part of it.
Duty is less personal than loyalty, with regards to giving it. If it was just duty, I don't think he's have that momentary look of... distress ? when he talked about owing Coulson.

Are we even sure if the 'Grant Ward' persona is Ward's real name? Just saying. He could end up being a villain from the comics or something.
