Say if writing has become your life, but your joy for it has been destroyed, but you just want to get it done, how do you? What if you are no longer writing for yourself but for any possible person out there who is like you, no matter how improbable that may be? You just want to make sure it exists for them and only then will you be able to die peacefully. However, you can't write well if your feelings aren't in it.

Why would you keep doing something you don't enjoy? Why would you write about a subject you don't want to explore? Why do you feel beholden to hypothetical people who may never even become aware of your work? If you can't rediscover what made you write in the first place you can always stop.

I think you're having some kind of existential experience that I can't really relate to because writing is something I do not something I am. I hope you can find happiness, though.

You know you yourself would have wanted to find a story like that so even for the slightest chance anyone else out there would want to as well and the slightest chance they would find it, you want to know there is hope. Moreover, if writing has become your life, what you happily traded your social life for, you would want to finish it.
Wow, this is some poetic, existentialist stuff. I think you're being a little melodramatic. If you don't want to write, don't write. If you want to write, write. If you feel like writing is all you've got, go get something else: find a new hobby, meet some new people, whatever. It really is that simple even if you think it's more complicated. If you've lost your drive, go find it; read something new or the thing that initial inspired you to write or write something that you wouldn't normally write. Look for some inspiration.

I've been in a writer's block lately but now I'm thinking of writing a story about an artist whose lost his artistic drive and must rediscover it.

Get a life. Seriously. If you don't like it, find something else to do.

I started this during one of those times I dwell more on angst but it's never wrong to be aware. Writing is all about what ifs after all, if it hasn't already happened. I'd say though that even if my personal joy for writing does die, I won't stop. I'll always love it even if I'll grow to hate it at the same time.

Writing has become my life. I can't go for a minute without thinking about my characters, often even about what they'd do throughout various events in the real world.

I swear you'd make for a Shakespearian character: a person so enamored with their work that it makes them miserable. The joy of art has died in them yet they cannot bring themselves to do anything else because art is all they know. The artist is at the center of their being; they are an artist first and whatever else they are second.

I'm getting some good material here but seriously, you should probably relax and go do something else. Preoccupy your thoughts with something other than your stories. If you honestly can't bring yourself to do that, you might need some psychological help. That level of obsession can't be healthy.

I would recommend finding another hobby.

Perhaps you could try bird watching, or becoming a connoisseur of a certain type of cuisine. Maybe take up figure drawing or remixing music, or basket weaving. Or, if none of those suit your tastes, I can always introduce you to Homestuck.

Wow, this is some poetic, existentialist stuff.

No, it's not. Most charitably it's teenage angst wrapped in a writing metaphor.

And in this case, maybe not even that. I'm inclined to be deeply cynical here considering the past behavior of the subject, and simply say that since in the past they have demanded we interact with them in the manner they wish (in more ways than one). Now they wish sympathy.
Nous restons ici.
Why don't you write about it? Oh, I see you already are. tongue
I'd say I'm being refined
