Inverse summoner brawl! I guess everybody's going to be playing decks of entirely 30 minions, should be interesting!
Aaaaaaaand turn 2 innervate + astral communion. Fuck you too, game.
Hmm, just blew out a Priest with a Mage deck that I made for this Brawl. The final straw was Antonidas on 7. Not sure how anyone is supposed to beat that.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"High mana cards are really playable in this game mode.
I like how when i play boom, i always get Crush (Especially when i need Flamestrike)
Anyone else always get Lay on Hands when playing an 8 drop? Or that just me?
Uni catIt gets...interesting if both players are running it and also running rather defensive decks.
I'm playing Mage, the other guy has Hunter...which I quickly learn is not face when the turn 3 Deathlord comes down on his side. A long game ensues where we're alternating dominance. He drops an early Nourish and clears my board with turn 6 Kel Thuzad and his board. I Convert KT for later and manage to clear everything. He's running Boom and gets King Krush off a Webspinner. I've got Antonaidas and get 4 Fireballs off it, kill Krush, MCT Boom and Mass Dispel the bombs. He's got Tree of Life. Twice. I'm running Healbots and have to use at least one. I burn 2 fireballs between summoning stones and the things they summon and finally manage to get my own Stone up. At some point he drops Ysera but I think I only give him one turn with it. Finally won with a buffed Seige Engine (14 attack), two Fireballs and a board of other miscelany.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I was in Fatigue too. One on the free spells I got was Sprint.
Edit 2: Oh, and I think he had Reno. Might have been another match though.

Summoning Stone is crazy. If you've been using your spells judiciously, you can establish board control very quickly - and at the very least, you get a free 5-mana minion.
Funny moment - I was playing Priest against a Warlock and played Animal Companion (Huffer) + Cold Blood + Bestial Wrath for 10 damage to the face. Fittingly, my opponent then played BGH (well, I guess he had a beast in his sights... ) and followed it up with a Polymorph: Boar on it. Just goes to show that you can never have enough Huffer.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Summoning stone is insane. Too bad my opponents always have the twisting nether for it....
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesMy goodness. Watching the Dreamhack matches right now - just watched Ek0p (Patron Warrior) vs Sottle (Midrange Druid). It should've been one-sided in the Warrior's favour, but it went right down to the wire (and fatigue) with one of the most nail-biting sequences I've seen in a while.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I just turned on the dreamhack stream.... Just missed it guess, I will have to catch the vod on You Tube tomorrow.
So, is it common for people to pose as youtubers and streamers? I played a "BurntToast" and I'm wondering if that was actually him.

I think it's either "Disguised" or "Toast"
Uni catoh yeah whoops
turns out there is a Burnt Toast but he has one video.
Kripp always has a guy named 'Trump' try and snipe him in arena, it's certainly not the real Trump as Kripp has the real thing on his friends list.
I friended a "Kripp" who is most definitely not the streamer. /shrug
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"If you play against him and he has good RNG then it's not the real Kripp (Kappa)
Uni catEvery so often there's a post in /new for the Hearthstone subreddit asking if a player just faced the real Trump. Late in the season on like rank 17 or something... It's better than the many posts asking about the Gorehowl bug, Auchenai + Mistress of Pain bug or the "endless turn hack that's totally not a disconnect because I can still chat with friends". I don't even know why I browse /new anymore.
People actually use Gorehowl?
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesThose posts used to be way more common when Gorehowl was a staple card back in the day, but it still shows up in some deck lists every now and then.

I think I've seen it in Fatigue Warrior lists. (Personally, I got one out of a pack back in the day, and until now, I still don't have the rest of the deck to run it in.)

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Anyone have any tips for playing against Mill decks?
Because right now coming up against Mill Rogue seems like it's just Solitaire until they win if they don't immediately crash and burn first.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Against Mill Rogues? Well it depends on what you are playing but in any case, you want to pop your usual strategy. If your strategy is some sorta zoo, they are in big trouble cuz you tend to send in more than they can deal with.
But in either case just sending in your stuff as soon as it is possible to force them to misuse their combo stuff is the best.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesForce the Mill deck to burn all their defensive cards before they have the combo pieces in hand. That's really how it works.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Found a new version of Fatigue Mage (by Dane) that I really like. The old version (upgraded with Forgotten Torch) still works well, but this version trades some board clears for Jeweled Scarabs and Ethereal Conjurers. The basic idea being that those discover cards give you more options without thinning your deck. They might not be the best minions statwise, but fatigue decks don't win by having board presence, anyway.
I really like the discover mechanic in general. I'm just slightly annoyed that they didn't explain the mechanic properly beforehand. The higher chance of getting class cards really make most discover cards much more valuable than expected. Almost makes me wonder if the nearly 1 in 3 chance of getting Dark Cultist makes Museum Curator good enough to play in non-Dragon Priest decks, as those decks still lack a 2-drop.
This rogue just milled himself.
lol.
