Utter travesty. Considering I'm one of the few people that enjoyed The Princess And The Frog and Winnie The Pooh over Tangled, I am devastated by this.

....You know that this could possibly not be true, right? He just said "In the Immediate future." Meaning that there isn't anything in development RIGHT NOW, but could be in a few years. I still have a lot of hope. smile

Sure, but don't hold your breath.

So, I finally watched Paperman. It was very pretty to look at, but I found the plot to be quite shallow and lackluster. The visuals carried the warm and fuzzy feeling well, but the plot premise felt too thin and contrived.

It's a short. Its plot is no more shallow than Geri's Game, Lifted, or La Luna.

Anyway, it's not surprising that there aren't any plans for traditionally animated movies. They'll bring it out once in a while as a treat for the old-school fans, but it's simply not as profitable.

"Lifted" was the one where I really expected more to happen, but then it turned out to be just the same joke over and over again, basically.

[up][up]I guess it's easier to accept silly small plots when they aren't about matters like romance, which tend to demand a longer setting and development to play properly.
