Saw the trailer before Django Unchained. Oh, we laaaauuuughed. Funniest trailer since Contagion.
Haven't seen the movie but I'd like to, if only to have a laugh. But you do say it's okay, so maybe there's more to it.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.

I lost all interest once I saw the evil forces were just Greys. That's not a spoiler, they're in the trailer.

Yeah, bringing in the alien-expert guy was a mistake. Horror (at least deeper horror than jump scares) depends on the unknown and unknowable. Having a guy go on about the classifications and divisions of the monsters kinda kills that. Even having the Greys on-screen damages the horror.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.

So, just went to see this movie. Was expecting schlock, got something that was actually fairly well put together. The actions of the aliens made sense and stayed mostly true to the lore, and the family was well-fleshed out enough that I actually cared when Jesse was taken. Not to say it's perfect, but it actually exceeded my expectations. Not fantastic, but definitely worth a watch.
Anyone else here see it?

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial
