Yeah, and then he is not living with her any more. And what jobs, they are Pokemon Masters! That's as much of a job as whatever Fluttershy is doing.

The point is, that in such an absurd unrealistic world, if the characters' numerical ages (10 years) wouldn't be given, and their character designs would be nonhuman, you would have enough reasons to believe that they are adults. After all they are living on their own, wandering around the world, some of them own gyms, etc.

I say that that the world isn't directly comparable to ours in either way. Rarity seems to be more of a real life adult, while Rainbow and Pinkie are a lot more like teenagers, mostly living for hobbies and future plans, not for any obvious career. Twilight could go either way since her schooling level is just non-applicable to our world, and Applejack and Fluttershy are depending on whether there is a High School in equestria that they already fnished/dropped out of, or this is what tenagers would alo do in Equestria.

Huh, I just realized that Rarity's human name probably means that Pony Rarity's last name is Belle, if the pattern holds for all of them.

I like Roxy Dodgers actually.

It's strange that Fluttershy's and Rainbow's are really prsonality appropriate, but the others are practically interchargible other than the initials.

So on the one hand you admit rarity is an adult, and then say the other aren't, when they are all roughly the same age? And once you get into "Oh it would be the same not counting this and this" you lost. It's the differences that matter. and again who cares what OTHER works do, it doesn't matter, what matters is, FIM the character are adults, in every way they have been shown, it doesn't matter if random thing X had something similar..but only if you discount y and z things. Every single thing shown about the mane 6 shows them to be adults.
