But who are the Misfits whose songs are better and that are going to get her?
Okay so, this just raises all kinds of new questions....
But it was kind of awesome.
Okay, that was awesome. Interesting that Trixie is a rival of sorts for the group.
Reaction Image RepositoryI think I would have liked that more if I cared about guitars. Vinyl one was better.
animal-lovingNow I'm really confused. The magic disappeared at the end of the first movie but apparently certain actions can bring it back? I hope we get an explanation at some point.
Competing with Trixie makes you awesome enough to do that
Maybe their instruments are the EG parallels to the Keys in the Fi M universe? If it turns out the keys in and of themselves have magic powers.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. You'd think Rainbow and Trixie competing in a guitar shred-off would be neat, but it just came off as lame, IMO. Now here's a real animated guitar duel. Trixie in particular was pretty disappointing. Plus, Rainbow just randomly transforming... I guess that means pony Twilight does not necessarily have to be present for that to happen, so I suppose that does make it a bit more likely that the Twilight seen in the trailers is actually human Twilight. Also, the rainbow shockwave from the trailer turned out to have nothing to do with Rainbow Power. This is good, because the more Dougworld and Equestria are separated, the better.
Heh, that guitar duel only reminded me of one thing:
The short was awesome, but I think it explains that maybe the first film had to do with a "in medias res" type of deal. That the characters went through amnesia and that would explain Sunset Shimmer splitting the group? *shrug*
I guess this means their powers will now activate whenever they play their chosen instrument?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNew short, about Fluttershy and Rarity.
Bleh, I didn't like this one. Besides the voices, that didn't really feel MLP related at all (well, even more so than usual for Equestria Girls). It felt more like Littlest Pet Shop. Well, I'm generally OK with Littlest Pet Shop, so more like a boring episode of Littlest Pet Shop.
The scenario is LPS-like but everyone's IC and the transformation magic was at work again.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. So, the magic appears whenever they're in contact with their talent? huh.
Also, is this going to be like a Saturday-style pattern when the shorts air?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSo, we have another music video/short, with Twilight Sparkle there with no explanation.
...Was that trailer completely comprised of segments from these shorts? Also, the Masquerade Masks from the wave of toys Sunset Shimmer first appeared in are in this short, but not Sunset herself.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Hasbro took it down. Sorry.
Since the video was taken down, perhaps this means that the video was posted far earlier than intended, which could mean that it's supposed to be one of the last of the shorts and Twilight's presence is explained in a different short, or it could mean that it's our first legitimate clip of the movie. If it's the former, it's odd, because the book based on the shorts does not have Twilight in the human world.
If it's the latter, then the narrative is kind of weird: if Trixie is the villain, as other things have implied, then it is odd that she is celebrating in the audience when this doesn't feel at all like the final song; the rocker look is something heavily featured in advertising, so it's strange that the song wouldn't show how they came up with that look; and it does not seem like this song is a part of any music competition, implying that this is before that plotline starts, but Twilight is already there, and with the time needed to reintroduce her, that would mean the music competition part would be introduced relatively late in the film.
In any case, bleh.
Good lord! Why the fuck do people read so much into all this?! IT'S A FUCKIN' SPOILER SHORT! It's not an importaint message from the writing staff, just a SHORT!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI think you're overreacting a bit. If a video was posted and then taken down, that probably means it wasn't supposed to go up, and it's only natural to question why.
And the shorts are meant to be prequels to the film, not actual scenes from the film. That's why it's odd that Twilight would be present without explanation, if this short really is meant to be the fourth one in order.
Given each of the last shorts went up on a Friday, it's more likely they simply posted it a day earlier then intended. Uploaded the video to be ready to release it on time today, but forgot to make it private.
Then that goes back to my last point: it's odd that Twilight is present without explanation if this is really the order the shorts are meant to be posted.

She was in the very first one too. I'm just hoping it's the fake!Twi not Real!Twi and they'll just ignore that it was ever the real one there.
You mean the Vinyl one? No she wasn't.
Anyway, looking at The Round Stable, it appears that the video was posted on the German Equestria Girls channel earlier than it was supposed to have been. Now, if it's one of the shorts and not a clip from the movie, that does mean Twilight's presence will explained in one of the shorts. I can't imagine that they'd just have pony Twilight come back in one of the shorts and stay, so that probably means she's Doug World Twilight.

Huh could have sworn she was. Anyway so what? like I said, all that matters is if it's the real twi being shoehored in for no damn reason, or the fake!verse Twi. If the laster, whatever. It hardly really matters.
New short
