Justice Avengers: Jump City at Dusk

"As a matter of fact, I was thinking about how much fun it would be to stomp on your face. I can't do that, but it would be fun." The ropes tightened. "Getting hard to breathe, I should probably stop talking."

Copper Sunbird flew in-between Ambush Bug and Star Sapphire. "Oh, so you recognize us, do you?" she said to the latter. "Good, because I *want* you to know who's going to kick your butt, witch. But first-" SWASH!! She used one of her sharp-edged, metal wings to attempt to cut The Bug free of the "ropes" strangling him.

If that didn't work, she would try breaking Sapphire's concentration by attacking her.

Ambush Bug jumped up, massaging his ribs. "Thanks! But, I think that one of my friends has a few things to say to her first." He took some other packets of food and threw them in Star Sapphire's face. "I hope you like tiny slices of pie! That's for ruining a perfectly nice mission with a friend. We were going to eat these before the ropes crushed them. Still, even a ruined pie can be thrown in someone's face."

"uh. I see you have improved your pathethic "powers". This "witch" is going to make you eat your words" Star shapphire said after Copper Sunbird freed Ambush bug.

"You don't even like him, why are you saving him?. He is so annoying, I am doing you a favor" she continued with displeasure

You mean your kryptonian friend? Don't worry I will deal with them too. But if you wanted pie that can be arranged. Star sapphire said in a relaxed posture as she seeemd to be more bored than actually threatened by the two heroes.

Suddenly a giant "pie" construct with spikes would appear behind both Copper Bird and Ambush Bug to try to hit him both to the ground.

Ambush Bug grabbed Copper's hand and teleported them across the park.

Star Sapphire would hear a loud booming bass from a car pull up near her. The window rolled down, and the regeneratin' degenerate himself, Deadpool, looked at her up and down.

"Hey, sweetcheeks! You know the way to the Justice Avengers HQ? I'd like to hand them my resume. Well, I'd like to, but I'd have to find the dead guy I carved it into. I really should have stolen a ride with more trunkspace."

He stared at her for a little longer. "Heeeey...I'm digging the whole 'Wonder Woman meets Prince' thing you got going on. Forget the Justice Avengers. How about you and me paint the town purple, while I objectify and demean you some more?"

Ambush Bug immediately teleported over to Deadpool. "Hey, jerk! I'd like to talk to you in private. Also, please don't misunderstand my cruel insult and harm me. I don't have a healing factor. So, talk? Please?"

"Huh?" Deadpool turned to Ambush. "Woah. Ahaha, nice getup, freak. Sorry, but this isn't one of your nerd conventions, and I'm not signing autographs. Now, buzz off! I'm about to get this hottie's number."

Deadpool looked back at Star Sapphie and flashed a smile behind his mask.

Ambush Bug tried to teleport Deadpool away. "Dude, she'll kill you. She just tried to kill me. She would have done it again, but you appeared.

"Hey! If I was smart enough to not fool around with women that want to kill me, I'd never have lost my virginity." Deadpool pushed Ambush Bug aside, and yelled at Star Sapphire.

"YO! TWILIGHT SPARKLE! OVER HERE!" Star Sapphire would see that within Deadpool's heart...is perhaps more heartbreak and pain than anyone she's ever met. A pool of pain. It was like Deadpool swam in it. The pool, I mean. Deadpool carried it around with him, like a bag of chips.

Star sapphire simply shrugged and rolled her eyes after hearing the sexist remarks

““You are even worse than that bug. What makes you think you are good enough to date me?“ Star sapphire teased deadpool as she seemeed to be sitting on mid air in a relaxed posture.

“But your heart has been broken more times it has betrayed so often You have been hurt it has shattered your soul.I can already see your macho exterior is just to protect that wounded heart. Bug maybe you should learn of him, at least he has dared to love someone else than a sock. I almost regret having to end your suffering… almost”

"EW!" Ambush Bug teleported over to Kara. "I have a moral dilemma. Should I let them fight each other and continue helping you or should I stop them? As far as I know, Deadpool can heal, but I don't know if she can."

"music and arrows..." she thought back at the times she and her father played music back on the temple, to relax after training, or after a meal, just to enjoy it. Arrows brought her back to the times she trained with her uncle, dodging, catching, shooting and cutting arrows, not the best of times but exciting nonetheless "Yeah, I can do that" she said, naively.

"A.B I think this is your chance to prove them that you are a real hero. Yeah you need to work on your eccentricities, but you are basically a good person. I will manage somehow, don't worry about me, go kick some butt."

Ambush Bug saluted and pulled out a wiffle bat◊ from his seemingly-never full pockets. He teleported away and ran toward Deadpool. "I'm going to help you, possible buddy! You stay there and I'll bash her over the head!"

"Excuse me, miss." Deadpool turned to Ambush, wound up a punch and socked him right in the stomach, before turning back to Star Sapphire. "Now where were we? You seem to read my like an open comic book....with pages torn out after your baby cousin dribbles on it. I can tell you're a lady that needs a man who is a good lover. And I'm excellent baby. If you know what I mean. You want me to take care of this green loser and then I can show you what I mean? Preferably in a dingy motel room with questionable stains?"

Star sapphire simply glanced at Ambush bug and Deadpool and decided they weren't worth her time. "I have better things to do, besides you will be dead in a moment anyway". he said referring to the kyrptonian villians as shew flew above Ambush Bug and deadpool.

Call me if you survive. she said to deadpool with a smile before flying away from the place.

Ambush Bug curled up on the ground, trying to distract himself with random thoughts. Oy...

"Come back, you little- " Sunbird began to yell after Star Sapphire.

"Let her go!" Pulsate, on the ground nearby, shouted at her. "We have enough trouble with those strangers in black*, we'll deal with her later."

She flew down and asked "What about them?" while pointing at Ambush Bug and Deadpool.

"Let them take each other down" he answered.

"But- but the Bug one saved me!"

"Sun, in case you haven't noticed, that guy seems to have it for pretty young girls. Like you! His intentions might not have been so noble."

"Or maybe they are and you're just jealous" she suddenly said.

"WHAT!?" he said in disbelief. "What do you mean??"

"I dunno, you have been acting strange, ever since you met him."

"I have been acting strange? I had to deal with one- now two- weirdos and *I* am the one acting strange??"

"Whatever, we'll talk later. Let's go help our teammates for now"

And with that she flew off, leaving a perplexed Pulsate behind.

(*I'm assuming the kryptonians are all dressed in black, like in the second Superman movie. If not, let me know.)

Ambush Bug slowly moved around. "Hey, I heard that. I might not be the most intelligent guy, or the most heroic guy, or even the most sensible guy, but I would NEVER do anything like that. Kara needs help with finding out her past. I'm trying to help her. Maybe you would like to join in?"

Pulsate stared at Bug, his expression partially hidden by his hood and shades, then said:

"...We'll talk later. Right now, you need to keep this Kara girl away from those people in black, they are enormously powerful and not very friendly. Wait until we have dealt with them."

And with that he turned around and ran towards the battle zone, ready to join in.

JA HQ

"Actually, I haven't had much call to use them. Do you guys still have those berries in your ears?"

Wearily, Ambush Bug teleported back to Kara. He was getting tired. "Some guy wants you to be at a safe distance until the battle ends. What do you think? Is it a good idea?"

Deadpool waved off Star Sapphire as she flew off. "Hey! Wait....How can I call her if I didn't even get 'er number? I think this is what the kids call 'a burn'. I'll have to look her up. It's about time Deadpool got back in the dating game. It's also time that he stopped speaking in third-person, but you'll have to blame Saturn for that."

"Yeah, we do," Wolverine said to Donald. "Plus, it'd be really convenient to have a medic around here in case any of us or any civilians get hurt. To me, that's far more important than sheer mus - "

That was when the former X-Man noticed on the viewscreens someone he knew from his past......someone he knew very recently.......someone he really.......REALLY.......hated........

"Wade?" he said, looking at the red clad Merc with a Mouth. "Oh freakin' HELL no, Donald, you stay here in case we need help, I gotta get over there before the situation escalates!" Wolverine then practically ran for the teleporter.
