Looks like we got more of the cast though they still aren't saying whose playing who. So far its been confirmed that Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, and Dominic Cooper have all been locked in for roles along with Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton.
Rob Kazinzky is a World of Warcraft player, so he should know his stuff
Also, Linky.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Two mew cast members announced. Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown. I don't care who he plays, just having Clancy Brown there makes this movie 20% cooler. That being said I would like to know who is playing what role. We know the film takes place during the First War so the list of characters is pretty much set so here is my guess.
Clancy Brown-Lothar
Daniel Wu-Khadgar
Dominic Cooper-Medivh
Travis Fimmel-Durotan
Tobby Kebbel-Blackhand
Paula Patton-Garona
Rob Kazinsky-Doomhammer
Ben Foster-Guldan
I'll admit I have my doubts over some of my picks but tell me what you all think

Fun fact: Clancy Brown was the original voice of Thrall in the cancelled Warcraft Adventures point & click game. That game would have also had Peter Cullen as Doomhammer. Alas, such awesomeness did not come to pass...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I'm wondering if the Warcraft movies are going to try and use the Marvel model of movie making. Honestly I don't know how else Warcraft 3 would get translated to film.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsI think your right, the Marvel method would probably be the best. Like Marvel Warcraft doesn't have a central hero character but many heroes. I can see a single movie to cover each game and expansion up till WC 3 then they would need to start branching out. A movie per campaign might be how it would have to be done.
The closest to a protagonist that WC 3 really gets is probably Arthas (assuming you count Frozen Throne) with Thrall as the Deuteragonist.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsI didn't even think there were plans for a sequel at this stage. But, of course, it is modern Hollywood.
Personally I think this film would benefit from being really self contained and focused.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Looks like Jones is almost done shooting. He just tweeted that they only have three weeks of shooting left then its on to post-production. One benefit for moving the release date back to March 2016 is that they will have plenty of time for post-production work. Still annoys me that we have so little to go on for this movie. We don't even know who is playing what character.
That was quick and spoilerless. I didn't even know they were doing anything yet.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWe do know its set in the Warcraft I era and the main characters are Lothar and Durotan. Now who's playing who is the real question...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!well they have officially finished filming. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/134775-Warcraft-Movie-Officially-Finished-Filming
In related news Duncan Jones has now leveled up to a level 60 director.
Well they have (finally!!!) announced one of the roles for the Warcraft film. Ben Foster will be playing Medivh.
Sort of the main driver of things, no?

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That hammer's so awesome that Clarence is almost speechless by it's majesty.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWhat would you expect from a weapon known as the Doomhammer?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Love the weapons. They have that epic stylized look Blizzard is so well known for. I do wonder how its going to look carried by real humans rather then the stylized humans from the game. Not so concerned for the Orcs since they will be CGI mocap and can be made to look right.
The logo doesn't really do it for me. I guess they wanted it to be different from the style they used for the games and that's fine but this one looks to plain and generic. It doesn't really stand out the way the original Warcraft logo does.

So... if this is a Warcraft I adaptation, why does the Doomhammer have the Frostwolf symbol on it? It didn't get that until it was passed onto Thrall, since Orgrim was from the Blackrock clan.
Is my knowledge of Warcraft lore rusty? Has it always looked like that? Am I wrong about the movie's time setting? Am I just nostalgic for the old design◊ with spikes and the blade on top, and was hoping that version would show up and we see how it lost those pieces and become the Doomhammer we all know and love??

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I don't think Blizzard really finalized the design for the Doomhammer till Warcraft 3. Though your right, the Frost Wolf emblem should not have been put on till after Thrall got it since Doomhammer is from a different clan. They said they would be changing some of the lore for the film. While I think they will keep the broad stokes about what happened many of the details are going to change.
Maybe the movie is told in flashback by Thrall and thats actually the future hammer?
Probably not but you never know...
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des Ursins@Wilahelm: the logo isn't doing it for you because it looks similar to the Starcraft logo...
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.
I'm thinking I want to change my Kate Beckinsale fancast from Sylvannas to Lady Prestor.
