Murray is lukewarm at best at everything that does not involve being a large object that is sometimes in the middle of a shooting land

A shooting roadblock does have its uses, even though they're limited.

They do have their uses, but he's not a particularly good road block. The Sharks' power kill is amazing because Stuart and Burns not only act as huge obstacles that are in the way most of the time, but because they will do flying leaps and jumps to take a puck in the face for the team and then keep playing for another minute instead of hobbling off. Murray just kinda falls by the side of the net sometimes.

Well... In Murrey's debut, the Pens were 10:2 in shots on goal versus Winnipeg's... Compared to 30:18 when Murrey was not on the ice(Murrey played 20 minutes)...

It's likely a coincidence... And we'll see how well that holds up over the next week. But Letang's injury against Montreal means Pittsburgh needs Murrey. Instead of him being the 3rd Defenseman, he's now second(behind Martin)...

From what I can tell, Murrey is, essentially, a bigger Bruce Orpik. Which Pittsburgh needed... So long as their defense doesn't fall to pre-winning-streak levels(22nd in the league) after the streak ends, they will finally have a defense behind their offense...

wowowow did anyone see that Boyle shot vs Minnesota tonight? 5 on 3, Boyle takes it in, and despite them being conservative with their three defenders, he manages to get behind them with a fancy move then does another fancy move to score.

Man, I'm happy the Sharks managed to go up 2-0 in the series despite those first two games being on the road. The Sharks had eight road wins in 48 games during regular season. Not pretty.

But as much as I dislike the Canucks... watching that post game interview with Vigneault made me feel a bit sorry for the guy. He looked like he just saw his wife and children murdered in front of him.

He has to take that team to SJ and I'm pretty sure that he doesn't know what he can do to win.

I feel a little sorry for Kesler too. He put the team on his back and scored 2 goals and the Nucks still couldn't seal the deal.

man, as much as I love the Sharks, they did not deserve the win tonight. I'll take it, but the Canucks waaaaay outplayed us.

Although I really loved that winning goal. Canucks taking shot after shot for like 5 minutes straight, puck isn't getting cleared, and suddemly Burns steals it and literally glides from the blue line in while Torres takes maybe a step or two, and they just time it perfectly. My friends and I actually are pretty convinced that because the Canucks were playing with such high intensity, the sudden downshift in tempo momentarily confused them just long enough for that score.

Well, that went swimmingly. 3-0 lead.

Sharks started off slow but they absolutely dominated in the 2nd period, a nice change from the last 2 games, and never looked back. Couture shut down the Nucks only offensive threat, Niemi was solid and the power play was absolutely dominant.

As for the Canucks...of all the Canucks-Sharks games I've watched this season this was probably the worst I've seen Vancouver play. Nucks have been known to play like goons but it they completely stopped trying to play clean after the 3rd goal went in. Schneider...yeah, I really think they should've pulled him after the third goal. That was a very soft one to let in. The Marleau goal that came 8 seconds after didn't help things.

San Jose's just gotta close them out now. This is still a very good Canucks team when disciplined and they'll have their hands full on Tuesday night.

I hate the Islanders with all my being and Fleury needs to be shot into the sun, Pens need to get a good goalie, probably Robert since he is leaving Van or Miller in Buffalo.

Man I swore when Edler put the third goal in that we'd have to wait until Thursday to see the end of that series.

First sweep ever for the franchise.

And the Vancouver radio stations are being blown up right now

I assume that you guys don't care about the Ice Hockey World Championship tournament that is currently being played in Sweden and Finland?

I'd love to have a place to talk about it but there's no point if I'm the only one watching it.

I was not aware of it, but at the moment I'm busy having heart attacks from watching the Sharks' play off run.

And unexpectedly, the Senators are Canada's last hope.

Meanwhile, can someone put the Capitals out of their misery and end that game early?

exactly

I am so mad that happened. I'm more mad at the Sharks once again giving up 2 goals and expecting that the Kings would just let them easily climb back into the game but I'm still mad at Pavelski

On the bright side, the Red Wings got eliminated.
