So, having just seen Project Kara and having come across the Animate Inanimate Object page, I recalled a fantastic example, but I can't remember its name.
It's a short film, posted online and created by a European tech company, in which a guy, having come home from a crappy day, is met with sentient appliances/electronics that try to cheer him up (communicating amongst themselves as they plan to do so), preparing food, putting on his favorite movie, etc.—it concludes with him not picking up the phone when a friend calls, preferring the company of his apartment to that of another human being.
It's actually something I want to use as inspiration for a Genius: The Transgression session, and it bothers me that I can't recall its name. Help?
"A supporter once called out, 'Governor Stevenson, all thinking people are for you!' And Adlai Stevenson answered, 'That's not enough.
