What's FTL travel going to be like in this setting?
I think that was answered a while ago: It's a trans-dimensional "jump" basically, from what I read.
Anyway, also just dropping in here to apologize for not posting for a few days. Things have suddenly become complicated on my end of things but I will see about posting when I can. Likely tomorrow.
You are reading this. What he said.
And I'm the one who should be apologizing. I should have posted a long time ago. Without farther ado, lets get this show on the road!
WORDS TO ADD TO YOUR DICTIONARY!
Monitor: This is a type of ship used by the Invaders. It is by far the smallest warship deployed and also by far the weakest. It is suspected that these ships were supposed to be used for upper atmosphere and ground support missions, or even as an orbital police force. Whatever the case they were plentiful and could prey an any civilian ship with impunity, but even a human destroyer could feel like a battleship taking these things on.
Leviathan: The Invader's greatest ship and weapon of mass destruction. It's capabilities are equal to or even greater then a battleship and it's mass is almost doubled. Dubbed Leviathan because of their serpent-like appearance, they were battleship/transport hybrids, carrying thousands of soldiers and war machines in their hulls that were deployed after the ship had rained death and destruction on terrified world. Invader battleships were often paired and used to escort a single leviathan, making them a devastating force that paved the way for subsequent Invaders. Despite their fearsome reputation and usage, human battleships rose to the challenge and were able to match the leviathans and the Invader battleships in grueling all-or-nothing contests for dominance. With the aid of their faster partners, the cruisers, leviathans were forced to concede that they had met their equal.
Quick question Parable: who's the other marine who ran in with Plucky?
I think he might be referring to Varlam. I'll see if I can get a post done sometime today.
EDIT: Done. Ingram deludes himself.

You are reading this.Yeah, I was assuming him and Varlam would be together.
Jacob's internal monologue reminds me of the scene in the Incredibles where the mom is trying to concince herself everyone in the flight control tower is just out for coffee. At the same time.

@Parable: Indeed.
Anyway, just in case this thing ain't dying yet, I should probably mention that I'm gonna be gone from early Wednesday to late next Monday.
You are reading this.Roger roger.
I don't think it's dying, although I wouldn't mind if someone from the Mars responded to Plucky's request.
-Flops down-
Just finished the OP for my other game. Now I can take the time to whip up a proper post here!
Huzzah!
By the way, I've been fiddling around for another OC in Sorcerers. I may post her in the next few days.
Hey Firock, would you object to Plucky calling Varlam "comrade"? It sounds like something he would do. XD
You can have Plucky do whatever you think he would do. I won't object; whether Varlam would, I'd have to think about. Would probably depend on the context.
But, I don't think he would in most instances.

You are reading this.
In this case the aerophobia is specifically focused on the "airbourne noxious substances" part. They live on a planet where taking off your gas mask anywhere besides the most controlled environments causes death within moments.
It's an irrational fear where they feel like if they don't have the mask on, they could die any moment unless they hold their breath until another mask is obtained. "How do you know that the room isn't going to be filled with poisonous gas any second? I'd rather just keep the mask on."
Anyway, I'm starting to guess by your avoiding of the subject that Ingram isn't accepted? A simple no would've sufficed.
I'll try to post a bit later.
