How dare you ask for proof before ruining someone's reputation.
but on twitter a bunch on people imply its a thing thats they have known about but never mentioned. and they are sitting on it to watch him squirm.
Unless they actually share them and can prove that they're his, I'm calling it a ploy to try to destroy his reputation.
If he was already under attack for something else, this reads far too much like a go-to tactic to try to destroy his reputation and keep him on defense rather than giving him a chance to address what he was originally attacked for.

I'd rather hear legitimate evidence instead of a bunch of rumor-mongering on Twitter.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I figured that it was probably backlash from people disagreeing with him on the Ferguson situation, probably combined with some other internal/external stress in his life.
Sexting is a thing a whole bunch of people are guilty of. Seriously, just hop on Grindr, you'd be hard pressed to find someone unwilling to send you dick-pics. Not only that, but why would it matter? The only way it should be an issue if he sent the pictures to people who didn't ask for them or to people with whom he has no relationship that would allow those pictures to be sent. Context is important.
As far as the charity accusation goes, I guess that is the thing that actually drove him to take a break. Yeah, whenever you do anything to raise awareness for charity, using your work to get people to donate or to become aware, it will be seen as opportunistic. I wouldn't let it bother me too much, granted I'd find comfort in the fact that I did something good for charity. Clean conscience and all that jazz.
Sounds like a classic case of haters gonna hate and Mister Stewart taking it too seriously. I hope he gets back on his feet soon.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! How does this go on for two years without him knowing about and suddenly it's entirely his fault?
Did this happen once and then the relationship broke off? Is he, in fact, ignorant and missed a bunch of signs that should have been obvious? Did this all happen two years ago and he tried to hide it for that amount of time?
Yes, what he did is wrong, and it's good that he apologized for a mistake - frankly, I think the idea of sexting and trying to be in relationships like that with more than one person at a time a very bad idea and stupid to begin with - but until I have more information I don't see him as being wholly to blame for this situation and I think he's being too hard on himself as well.
What I don't get is how you do that twice with two women at the same time. Like, how do you come to that conclusion with two different people at the same time, with the exact same consequences.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Though unless we get more clarification - not that I'd expect him to and I'd understand why he'd want to say as little as possible - I still think he's being way too hard on himself. Especially in light of how it's one giant mistake that he's owning up to and taking responsibility for - that in and of itself is worth commending him for.
The question here is the whole "2 year time span" thing - did this happen one time two years ago? Or did it happen several times over a two year time period?
If it was a one time thing where he made a mistake sending those picture, then yeah, the blame is on him. Otherwise...it gets a lot more complicated.
Oof... I'm just now catching up on the updates from the JL 8 Facebook page. Sounds like it was a combination of the pictures and the Ferguson thing, both of which led to death threats left on his mother's answering machine.
On the plus side, apparently DragonCon went well, so maybe he's recovered?
So he is still making new comics. Glad we'll know how the storyline ends.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Comic is too tiny to read. Whyyyy?
I can make out the words if I try but it's too much effort, so screw that. -_-

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Have you tried right-clicking to open the comics in a new window? I usually do that and it lets me zoom in on them where they're readable.
It works. =O
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The Facebook page has much clearer images.
If you don't want to go to the Facebook page, this site for the comic has much larger, clearer images: http://limbero.org/jl8/184
EDIT: Also, I'm liking John Stewart's "pissed off" and "facepalm" expressions. He recognizes the metaphor/symbolism this strip is going for.

I dunno why, but the idea that Sinestro doesn't know he's an alien is hilarious.
My various fanfics.Well, they've had it point out to them that Jonn wasn't following them. It's setup.
Reminds me of that kid in Tucker and Dale vs Evil who found out he too was a redneck
Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherLooks like we're going to find out if Jonn is as scared by fire as his adult self...
Incidentally, the four college kids casually starting a forest fire are confirmed to be friends of the artist, not comic book allusions.
Dangit. I had Amanda Waller ready and everything.
Dang I wanted Amanda Waller too.
Though most of the comic book allusions besides the obvious ones pretty much flew over my head for example all the background characters in issues 151 and 152.
I'm kinda hoping side characters get more emphasis eventually. And Supergirl is introduced as a little cousin.

Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherWaller wouldn't make sense in context anyway.
She'd be far more appropriate introduced as some kind of authority figure, whether it be an older hall monitor or a police officer or something like that.
Are we sure that this is actually the truth and not just more mis-information meant to discredit and tear him apart?
