I suspect the janitor thing is partially because Titans is dicks and partially so he doesn't actually lose too much when Ava and Odin shanghai him into their cause.

The newest update is out, finally. Odin is having a discussion with his sisters, who are apparently trying to kill him.

So, what's up with sister #3, Magpie? Why is Odin doing whatever he's doing for her protection?

Something about the Arrow parents, too, giving Odin some kind of responsibility.

This update had little concrete information, and lots of vague hints that only serve to frustrate me.

What's the trope for the twins having a time share on a single possessing spirit?

I thought the song "Bubblegum Bitch" by Marina and the Diamonds fit Maggie, but now I'm thinking "Froot" is more appropriate.

Edit: so apparently it was actually called Dolce Vita. And there's a lot of drama centering around it. okay. I'm going to stay very, very far away.

I binged this today after putting off reading it for over a year. Really amazing art and cool story, what else can I say? This is wonderful stuff.

The fandom over on tumblr seems to be at war with itself, though. I haven't seen so much chaos and toxicity in one place in a long time, and for the life of me I can't figure out where that all started. It's nice that things seem to be calm here, though.

It started with the panel where one of the twins calls Odin a "virgin nerd lord," which was supposedly "shaming" to asexuals/aromantics. She even wrote an apology letter and promised to write another story about an asexual, but later decided against it because she realized she can't please everyone and knew she'd only end up offending someone else. Since then, it's only gotten worse and worse.

Yow. I think that linked article has it right—this has nothing to do with political correctness. This has to do with some people just finding any way to stomp all over the comic.

That's clearly not Maggie at 15. Magie at 15 has cabinet in her stomach, and you can clearly see this version's belly button.

thinking that "virgin" as an insult is offensive specifically to asexuals or aromantics kinda suggests the complainees have no idea what asexuals or aromantics are, given that many asexuals have had sex before, as nothing actually stops them from doing so. aromanticism isnt even related to sex so why "virgin" would be offensive to them is just baffling. anyone claiming to be either of those things that gets "offended" is exactly as thin-skinned as every other insecure virgin regardless of orientation.

also anyone who complains that an insult is offensive or insulting is clearly not understanding the purposes of an insult.

and as usual with Soc Jus tumblr, they automatically conflate opinions and attitudes of fictional characters with that of the writer whenever its convenient for them.

I learned the hard way to stay away from Tumblr when it comes to fandom things.

The mystery of the Arrow family ever expands. Do y'all suppose Odin's family mistreats him because of things done through him via Pedri (ie, via possession)? And this role placed/forced upon Odin by his parents. Is it simply as a caretaker or something more? Is it a role he shares with Olai?
