The Modded Minecraft Thread

Discovered a new modpack in the third party modpack list. Crash Landing, a hardcore pack focusing on survival and quest mods. You start with nothing except millions of miles of flat dust plains and have to survive and thrive. Your chief problem is making food and water, as the only water block you have is salt water.

I've died maybe 30 times but I've had more fun dying there than 300 times in other modpacks. Mostly because of the fact that creepers /do not destroy blocks when they explode/.

Server update! The IP has changed so PM me for it. The pack is also now Tropecraft v4.2. Changes:

• Added Carpenter's Blocks
• Added Gendustry
• Added Tinker's Steelworks

(is anyone on here even playing on the server at all)

I AM EXCITED TO START PLAYING GAMES AGAIN :D

So, I shall be playing this when I get things setup, if someone could send me the IP I would be much obliged.

I just wonder if I can succeed without that lovely quest book Agrarian skies had, I mean, on my last server I was just finishing up my ME device before it died.

I've been testing out bevo's pack on the AT launcher and it works fairly well. I built my blood altar on the banks of the river nile and covered it in sandstone. Deciding whether I want a gold or beacon capstone. The plan is to have all of the magic stuff around the pyramid and then using a stargate to get to my tech base.

I've set up shop within the apothecary in the nearby town. I'll be focusing on witchery for now, so in time I'll move into the giant tree forest

Mam's new OMM server absolutely amazing.

I'm a little confused at the current set up on server. It's a weird mix of early and late game stuff and so I try not to touch it.

Found more taint, but it's far off and shouldn't be an issue

I don't know why, but I can't seem to charge energy cells. I set up a compression dynamo, but it won't transmit power into the cell like I want :/

I think the cell needs to have a blue or yellow side for you to be able to input power. So yeah that might be it.

you guys and your high technology, I had to improvise just to be able to interface with it at all -_-

protip: Don't cut down alder trees. Just don't do it.

no, do do it. Do it a lot. but wear armor. and bring swords.

Also I can turn chalk into piles of iron ore now. in case anyone needed some.

Random semi-issue; how do I get recipe mode to actually work? I go to the options and flip it between cheat/recipe/utility but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Recipe mode just means that you can look up recipes as usual without any other functionality. Utility mode allows access to a couple of the cheatier things (magnet and delete modes by default, I believe) and cheat mode allows the rest of the handy little buttons in addition to spawning items.

Aye. I'm stuck in cheat mode which makes crafting through AE a pain. I'd rather be in utility but I can't not spawn items on left click, apparently.

well I ATTEMPTED to make headway on the KICKASS MOONBASE but alas, I'm stuck in space and crash to desktop if I try to select the moon.

Try overwriting the Galacticraft config.

It's working fine for me so I guess it might be a one-time issue? I spawned in a new rocket (there's also a linkbook now too).

It's crashed 5-6 times, every time I tried
