I'm learning about democratic socialism in my poli-sci class and it is so much more uplifting and interesting than learning about it from angry Twitter posts. It's so refreshing to read actual proposals for a better future, and reminders of how we've implemented helpful social programs in the past.

I'm serializing an alternate history fiction and I'm currently covering the Russo-Japanese War arc.
During the process, due to the Minister of Internal Affairs' ploy, the Bloody Sunday ends without any, well, blood.
This forced me to look up on Russian communist history, to see just how large the consequences would be...only for me to learn just how damn complex the history of the Bolsheviks and such was. XP
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I could use some of that. I guess I'm a democratic socialist too but I don't really embrace the label because everyone who's out-and-proud about it on social media is a total asshat. The ones that are a little too into the idea of a violent revolution and the ones that think everything I care about is a bougie trifle.
But yeah, dismantle capitalism and let people live and stuff.

i went from a Social Democrat to a Democratic Socialist from the last time i posted regularly on this forum
