Ep 2 of the anime is out.
Watch SymphogearDissapointed that Mosquito Girl was not slapped through a building here, although I did like how they literally had her turn red when she transformed.
Heh.
Genos is a rare Straight Man who also manages to never lose his cool.
I mostly forgot his origin, so I failed to realize he's another Kamen Rider Shout-Out next to the more blatant Licenceless Rider.
......I also can't remember if he found that Cyborg that killed his family yet.
One Strip! One Strip!Could Saitama blow Superman's head off in one punch?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.He has not.
Probably. Definitely if Superman appeared in the One Punch Man universe, because the laws of reality there are basically "Saitama wins".
Also this episode was another 4 manga chapters, so at this rate they're easily going to fit in not only Boros but also meeting King and Blizzard.
I wonder if they'll change the order a bit so that the fight with Boros comes right at the end...

I like the change there, we actually see her splat against the side of a building. Squick. From what you'd said, I thought they'd changed the fight entirely.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Its a good thing the manga is very decompressed & cinematic. Its very easy to adapt many chapters at once since the battles have kinda a step-by-step pacing.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."True. Unless they expand it a bit the Genos vs Saitama fight is going to take about two minutes, tops.
Remember that time it took an entire chapter for one metal suit to land?
And it was gorgeous.
But, yeah, this episode was really hilarious. I especially loved when Saitama's head popped up in the middle of the tunnel. That felt very One Piece.
"I was just trying to sound cool..."

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I also liked the blood splattered building. Like when you slap a mosquito on a wall.

RealidadeI hadn't caught that.
But it's really weird that Saitama can't swat a single mosquito.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. That's the joke.
His other worthy opponent: a housecat.
Question bout the latest chap:
So Child Emperor is considered twice as strong as a bear,by a machine that measures only personal data,no tech and stuff.Isn't he a kid?
Then again he did dodge Evil Natural Water's moves.
Secret SignatureWell, how else could he carry a backpack with that much metal in it?
Cheese burger back pack!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I decided to check this out after the troper above (Seriously The Handle, thanks) mentioned it in another thread, and it is one of the best parodies of Superhero/Shonen I ever read.
Gotta love Saitama's derp face tho

You're welcome.
And yes, one of the strong points of Murata's version is the contrast between Saitama and everyone around him.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I can't even really say that it's a straight parody because of the sheer reverance that you can see in how awesome the fight scenes are. Somehow this show turns the anti-climax into an art form all its own, and even when we know the outcome the sheer amount of force that you can feel in every scene never ceases to make me smile.
I've tried looking at the old comic after binging through the available translated manga.
I can't.
I just can't.
It just looks so.... awful.
My various fanfics. That's why One decided have Yusuke Murata redo the art, because he knows he's a shitty artist.

Watch SymphogearWell, if you look at Mob Psycho 100, ONE can actually do somewhat decent art if he tries. The really shitty art quality in Onepunch Man is part of the humor. And of course Murata Yusuke is chosen for the redraw because he's basically One-art Man.

I've got to the point where I can sort of picture what the Murata version of a ONE scene will look like.
I have to say, the comedic timing in the anime is spot on. I showed the second episode to my friends without telling them much beforehand. When it got to the end of the mosquito fight, everyone just about died laughing.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire
No Kings stats are pretty clear, but Child Emperor makes assumptions and believes he was too powerful instead of the opposite.
Plus again it doesn't factor in other things like Psychic powers or technology.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
