Latest chapter for the Murata version is out.
As expected, Lightning Max and Sneck get completely smacked down by Gouketsu. I know this was pretty much expected of them going up against a Dragon-level monster, but I was honestly hoping they'd put up a fight after Max being all "We heroes got dis" in the previous chapter.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. That's like expecting someone can give Saitama a good fight.
Now, whether Suiryu is strong enough to curbstomp these monster mofos is a more interesting question.
I can see him being able to take down The Three Crows, but then having a hard time fighting Gouketsu before Saitama shows up and wraps things up nicely. Though considering that Suiryuu thinks that winning is more fun, I can see him taking the monster cells just to be able to fight Gouketsu.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.I really, really wish that they hadn't let Sneck and Max get beaten so quickly. Even if you consider that they might have been already worn out, it's depressing. And now Suiryu is gonna stomp the monsters, thereby proving his arrogant bullshit to be completely correct.
I would have at least appreciated watching them struggle and win despite some difficulty before the other dude took them out. Kinda to show that being strong or weak isn't the point when you're a hero, but I guess that was expecting too much.
One Strip! One Strip! But why would you go that route? Did you think Suiryu will be "proven wrong" if he sees the heroes struggle against the odds? If anything, once Gouketsu inevitably curbstomps Sneck and Max, it would still reinforce Suiryu's stance. Besides, he's not entirely wrong. Whoever is stronger, wins.
...
I think I've just come to hate curb stomps on principle.
I can deal with it with Saitama to some extent because it's hilarious (and we sometimes get someone who can push him a little). The whole point of his character is that he can't win, even if it has the result of making everyone else look weak by comparison.
Knowing that there are people in the Heroes association who legitimately try to help people (even a stupid Rookie crusher and jerkass like Sneck seems to be genuine about doing his job) and that they'll all be seen as useless due to the more temperamental and selfish members and other stuff beyond their control frustrates me.
One Strip! One Strip!Curb stomp battles happen in real life as well. It's kinda unavoidable.
Watch SymphogearThis is true.
But that doesn't mean I have to like them, even while acknowledging their purpose.
One Strip! One Strip!Rewatching the Boros fight.
Realized something: Boros got the last blow.
"You were too strong."
He got the last blow and it cut Saitama to the core.
I'm surprised that I haven't joined this thread yet.
Probably because I'm not currently following the manga but whatever.
Should there be a separate thread for the anime for those who wish to talk about the show but want to avoid manga spoilers? I know that's the case for the to Attack on Titan threads.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!New chapter's out, btw.
I don't know if that would be the case. I know people here usually spoilermark the webcomic stuff, but not sure about the manga.

... And that's called jazz!If you made an anime thread right now it would probably be fairly dead. Best wait until the new anime season starts.
Latest Murata chapter spoilers:
Welp, looks like I was right on the money, at least as far as Suiryuu fighting and beating everyone else, and then getting smacked down like a fly by Gouketsu after refusing to eat the Monster Cell. Bakuzan, meanwhile, was just standing around the entire time while everyone else was being all excited, and the panel given to him just to do that seems to imply that something important's going to happen with him.
We spoilermark the Murata version as well since a lot of people, myself included, were introduced to the series via Murata. I liked the story of the original webcomic, but I honestly couldn't stand the art.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.
I have no idea what you mean.
I found it okay after I got used to it. But yeah, he definitely does better in Mob Psycho.
Glad he got beat as quickly as Sneck and Max, even if he had fought before hand.
How's it feel to be just as ineffective as those heroes you look down upon Suiryu?
One Strip! One Strip!Wow, you guys have no appreciation for the wonders of ONE's art.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I love the webcomic. I'm actually worried that Murata's version will ruin Season 2 of the anime's pacing with all its filler, focusing on characters I do not care about.
...but characters are the heart of the story. Without them, there really isn't much to the story.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireYeah, but not these tournament jobbers.
ONE also wrote this "Filler", actually.
Watch SymphogearHonestly, there probably should be at least two threads for "webcomic" or "manga spoilers."
Just make one once the anime starts up again.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
They might be going for a 23 episode season as well.
