Probably when they realize that they're not getting as good of ratings or as much views as they got when it was on Youtube.
And how will they be able to determine that with VRV?
I mean with You Tube videos, you can tell when a video sucks or not by determining how many like or dislikes it gets and whether the comments are mostly positive or not, but how do you figure that stuff out with whatever VRV is?
The same way they probably do it with tv channel apps like Disney and Cartoon Network. -shrugs- Which I have no idea how it works, but I hear they're able to see how much views their episodes get on their apps.
There was a comment on YT that suggested they make their own streaming website for their own series and shorts and allow only certain advertising on the site to help their funds while they can also control the money that they make through ads and merchandise. But like Trump, they only listen to themselves and think what they're doing is right, and will most likely lose everything after time passes.
"We be we baby!"They'd have to pay to keep a streaming site up though.
It's still better than having at 20% of their earnings going to VRV. Payment for maintenance on your own site is virtually cheaper.
"We be we baby!"That is definitely true. Honestly I'm guessing that this was all Frederator's idea, Cartoon Hangover might not have had a choice.
From Robo Zombie on Bee and Puppycat:
So it seems like this may be their way of trying to buy out CH and frederator. And if I know my contracts, they can't break out of it if they sold the rights to VRV.
But I may just be a pessimist. Let's just see where this goes.
"We be we baby!"How is that even possible?! Frederator just got bought by Rainmaker Entertainment last year!
Now that is something I didn't know.
"We be we baby!"Ah, so they caved into our demands. Good.
"We be we baby!"Watch the whole video. It was just this one.
This song needs more love.Won't the others follow?
"We be we baby!"Episode 2 is already up on the VRV app.
OK so Im sensing a ton of negativity here, so let me cut to section of a video that explains whats going on here.
Could you provide a summery of some kind if you have watched the video?
New theme music also a boxWell, if you want to sparknotes version: Changes with the way Youtube gives money to content creators is based on time spent on the video itself. Animators especially suffer for this, since months of work can add up to like....10 minutes, which is not enough to help sustain it. Even though BW is one of the best animated shows on youtube, it cannot sustain itself under the current system and needs funds to stay afloat.
Super short version: Despite being extremely successful, hangover is screwed over by youtube and is using the paywall as a last resort.

So, how long do you guys think it'll take for Frederator to basically say "Hmmm, this VRV thing isn't working out. Maybe we should try a different method of showing our stuff without aggravating our audience but also doesn't give us budget issues."
My gut instinct tells me it would take 2-3 months at the very least. And hey, on the subject of different methods, what methods do you guys think they should try?
