And your "Quality by Popular Demand" Fake Trope implies that its quality is not good yet its still popular, fitting, but it contradicts your point of DBZ Kai not being successful in the west.

It was a real trope page at one point. Probably renamed in the repair shop to stop people like me from potholing into non fiction examples.
The fact remains the Dragon Ball show started sucking mightily after Vegeta's defeat and only got worse and worse as it went on. I figured Kai would throw out the whole thing and adapt the comic the way it should have been, at least starting with Raditz because Bulma through Piccolo Jr. was not so bad. Instead, they retreaded the same rancid Seasonal Rot the dragon ball cartoon became. It still has stock footage of the same blocking and dodging scenes, inaction sequences galore, gratuitous grunting and an inconsistent art style along with character scales.
They had the chance to make something just as good or better than the manga comic but keep milking this same sad cartoon. The entire Dragon Box is been made available five times in English alone. If Kai continues I may just make a youtube account and re upload all the available episodes in protest. If they had just released the old show without the pretense I probably would not even care. It would still have been horrible it would not be insulting to our intelligence).

DBZ Kai not for people who watched DBZ already or haters of it for that matter. Why should Toei waste money in panderint to them?
As much as I think that DBZ wasn't as good after the Frieza saga, it's still nice that Kai will at least complete the rest of DBZ instead of just ending at Cell.
I'll definitely watch it if they air it on Nicktoons again. I've never actually seen any of the Buu Saga since Kai was my first exposure to DBZ.

Toei has two Dr. Slump cartoons. When they decided to make another Dr. Slump, they made a whole new show. Say what you will about Marvel's endless adaptations but they don't just reshoot the same Spider-man cartoons with some scenes edited out and a new voice actor or two, they make new shows.
Nicolodean could easily just get the rights to Dragon Ball and shoot the entire series, which is readily available on DVD, themselves. They could do the editing easily enough too. Think about Boomerang, Hallmark, Stars, WWE 247 or any other number of stations basically dedicated to showing old shows. Kai is the same show as the last Dragon Ball show, I don't see how anyone who did not watch the first one is going to find the second one less of a turnoff because it is the same show. Toei does Digimon, Dr. Slump and Tiger Mask better. Why can't it do the same for Dragon Ball?

Your opinion. I love Buu's arc, myself. I don't care for Kai, though. I am with Cider, that "remasterization" is pointless as it still keeps most of the problems of the original release.
I hope this leads to more anime being televised by Nicktoons.
