From what I remember
It largely be upping the ground cap
the general speed of ground battles
Balancing so you don't just field your factions GG land unit
removing alot of the squishiness IE Rebel Artillery basically makes everything not a hovertank or ATAT a bad idea just with how easy it can kill things once set up and having a vantage point.
AI loves to mass produce them.
____
Hell if we got an Eo W 2 I'd probably go for a reinforcement stat like Do W where the unit can heal back to full squad size if at a reinforcement point
I hate the Rebel Artillery so much. Its one reason whenever I play as the Empire I just Death Star every single planet rather then invade if its not on a lower number of planets.
Garm's stupid flying tank is another. Should've made him a space unit rather then give him that obnoxious thing.
Yeah its kinda clear that the balancing wasn't really all to great
like Two artillery units pretty much kill/cripple anything not named an At At and with Snowspeeders you pretty much can stomp the hell out of a imp ground force 'since the Artillery will easily kill any AA units.
but really its the fact that the Computer can constantly Reinforce from its buildings while you get limited respawns
There is no way to heal a unit back to full strength so if your stormtroopers battalion is down to two soldiers They are taking up a pop point.
I'd almost say that they should go the Dawn of War route where you can deploy THIS many of this unit pre map and then have your upgrades revolve around it
or liek they do with the At At which respawn a small storm trooper squad
Actually, they aren't. At least last time I checked, wiping more than half of a battalion removed it from the pop cap.
Is there any diplomacy in Thrawn’s Revenge at all?
There is a little bit in Fall of the Republic though its kinda limited
Side with this character for X bonus later if your the Republic or Wait til War is declared to get this neutral power
The CIS is more spend 10 to up the influence or a do a bonus mission for a member faction to get their planets and fleets to join up.
Ugh, Thrawn's Revenge is so hard to want to play consistently. The New Republic is scattered all over the place making it really annoying to defend my possessions and other third-party factions randomly pop up sometimes during battle. Tonight twice now a battle between me and another faction was interrupted by the Yevethans randomly hyping in and kicking the ass of the attacker, and then a while ago an attack by the Pentastar Alignment on one of my other planets got repelled by the Hapans for some reason.
Unless its small map
yeah Thrawns revenge tend to be weekend killers but its not a big pick up and play mod either
Basically until you get an economy/ production going your best bet is to slowly fortify your choke points and expand that way... or expect to lose fleets constantly cause the moment you take a planet almost everybody thinks its free real estate if they have a route to it.

Most of my time playing EAW is in thrawns revenge.
Is it like that for the earlier ers or also for the later periods when NR territory becomes more consolidated
What sort of ground battle overhaul?
