Canadian-Australian Made, American accepted. Shezow! is therefore true American.
Wow. You're sitting on a mighty high horse there(no pony related pun)that you should really get off of. Seriously, She Zow! is a great message to the world of television that there are those who are willing to make an offbeat/kinda perverted idea into a great decent kids series. It shows there are still some awesome original ideas out there in the indie universe. But it's not a competitor to Korra AT ALL. Avatar series is like a Beetoven symphony, and Shezow is just a fan letter to that. All-in-all, they're no better than the other in anyway.(Except art. and depth. ok, even music score. And story. OK, there's a lot.)
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNope, Canadian-Australian is where it starts and ends
Is this popular in America though? I've watched some of it, it seems okay for the genre. I liked the Caped Koala episode.
Ends? But they're working on more, right?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNo idea. I was just being a vaguely nationalistic Australian.
But anecdotally, is this popular in the US? I like to know how Australian stuff does oversees, just curious.

More so than Johnny Motherfucking Test.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYeah, I'm overexagerating with that earlier comment, I'll admit - Still, Korra just hasn't grabbed me all that much as it should, sadly... That is something undeniable to me - whereas I just about could openly welcome a second season of this show, if only so it can actually get better. But that'll take some better writers, first and foremost, besides some tweaks in animation.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.The animation doesn't really bother me, not as much as it should, but it's WAY better than:
ANYTHING is better than that, and not just the animation, either...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Well, Tom Goes to the Mayor isn't about animation so much as maximizing the amount of emotional expression you can get in a colorless photograph. It's a lot like spriting videogame characters, I think...
They all fall into the same art catagory of animating a character to look it's finest. She Zow does this very well with a small budget. Still, I see nothing wrong with the animation and hope the style stays for next(hopefully)season.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceAs much as I do like the art-style for this show, it could use some more sprucing up should this show get a second season. Too many drastic changes aren't needed, however - just less of a sense of stiffness...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Indeed. That's probably why I get the feel they sometimes edit out scenes.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI think they edited a scene with Mocktopus's cellphone.
Glad we got an explanation as to why Guy is She Zow.
I'm actually looking forward to a 2nd season of this, now - funny enough, I was against this show from the beginning. I guess it helps that it isn't as mean-spirited or completely cliched as I thought it was... How things change...
They better do something with all of it, though, should they get such a blessing, knowing how easily bashed this show can be (if mostly because of the "she" puns!)...

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Glad to know they had a legit and honsetly true reason as to why Guy is Shezow: Because Boy or girl, Guy has a good heart, and with the title of hero, it will only show his better side more in the long run. And shame on all those Puritan moms who thought this was meant to entice boys into the gay community! This had NOTHING in common with that social issue. Also, Dudepow returns seemed to have a MAJOR animation jump.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThe first thing you just said... IS why I think I'll be keeping up with this show for now, no matter how silly and mean-spirited it can be sometimes. Those are minor nitpicks for me, surprisingly, thanks to the show actually improving its writing as much as necessarily needed (And it did need it...).
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Watched "Hot rocks" today. But what is it with the kids going to all these events without parental guidance? I bet Guy's dad would seriously go mental if his kids went to a rock concert in the first place. But now, i'm glad Shezap is now imprisoned in a glam rock prison. That saves room for a Bigger Bad to come in real soon.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThe winter/Christmas special aired saturday. Is it just me or has the series started to become a tad lazy?
Also, here's a YTP of the pilot just for shits and giggles.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIt never really was anything special :/

hashtagsarestupidAs much as I surprising like this show (otherwise), too - Agreed.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Mini-marathon on today. Hopefully this will mean will see more of this series this spring or summer.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIs this show getting a second season? If so, I'm not too big on that idea, unless the writing can show me it is worthy of it.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.You've said that several times, we get it. I also hope for a new season, which is likely given the mostly positive reception of the show.
Only because there's some potential here for some more serious storytelling, even if sprawled across several episodes... I can't stress that enough. This show is full of potential.
And BTW, I'm glad to hear it has better reception than it does here, Animation Revelation, or Toon Zoone Forums - seriously, what do these people want, anyway? Another Young Justice?!
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.
It's a Canadian Australian production.
