Well, I'm not sure if this particular part has been confirmed or denied in the legends, but make it so that each head has a different personality? And that maybe...something about NEEDING to eat maidens, not wanting to. Just something I came up on the spot, mind you, so its probably not a very good plan, but ah well, no matter. As for background...I redirect you to the tales of Izanagi and Izanami. There HAS to be something there that can be of use...maybe.

I need assistance in something. I want to write a poem from the perspective of Yamata-no-Orochi. I know the basics of the story, but I'm having difficulty developing a character for the eight-headed serpent. I want to try and give it some kind of backstory, you know, give Orochi some background and a reason why its been eating maidens for seven years.
Can anyone help me with suggestions?
