Renaming a work page

I'm a pretty big roleplayer, with a particular love for the Old World Of Darkness line by White Wolf. And of course we have pages for both. Although in the last year and a half the old world of darkness has been offically renamed into the Classic World of Darkness and White Wolf the company doesn't exist anymore, with it's staff and gamelines being either bought (Scion, Trinity Universe) or liscenced (Classic, New World Of Darkness and Exalted) from CCP.

So my questions are, do we rename the work page (Old World Of Darkness) into the new name given to it or leave it as is? And do we keep White Wolf's article name the same (since it still exists as a brand name, just not as a company name) or do we change the article's name to what the Company that was formely White Wolf Inc. and keep notes that the White Wolf name is a brand name?

Can't say about OWOD, but yes the WW page should remain. As you say, it still exists, even if not in its original form.

That is true, and Onyx Path pretty much exists to work on the games under the White Wolf banner or brand.

I guess then the question is do we simply leave the links to White Wolf as they are on the various pages (ie refering to it as the company) or modify them so it's clear it's refering to a brand?

Well it was historically a company and many references are bound to be historical. I think because White Wolf is a better known name than Onyx Path or CCP, and because apparently the name still refers to something, that it should still be the name of the page, with clarification in its description.

Onyx Path could be a redirect to White Wolf. I can't recall, is Onyx Path doing all the games, or are some of them licensed to a different name/brand/whatever, or done by CCP?

Then again, White Wolf isn't namespaced, it belongs in Creator/, so it's going to have to be moved eventually anyway. Ideally when things get namespaced every wick is cleaned up anyway, though in practice that is sometimes too much work.

About OWOD... Hm. OWOD is the name most folks know. But CWOD is better at not giving the impression it's dead, and is also the actual name, whereas OWOD was only a fan-nickname I think. Which suggests the page should be transplanted to Classic World of Darkness, OWOD made a redirect, and all the wicks changed.

Onyx Path is not White Wolf though they have taken over some of the World Of Darkness brand. One should not redirect to the other.
