Oh, sorry, meant the Yoshino abduction thing.
There goes my hopes for seeing the princess kick pretty boy villain ass.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines. We don't even know if she's really dead. That skeleton might be Aika for all we know.
I hope. Unfortunately, another show has recently reminded me that mentor-types have very low survival rates.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Episode 7 is up. I'm beginning to come around to Mahiro's "Aika is an evil chessmaster" side.
Given her statement that Yoshino would always be by Mashiro's side I started wondering, given that in a previous episode they stated there are no coincedences, that she knew that all this would eventually happen.

I am not interested in the love triangle, threesome, whatever it is.
/disagrees with what Aika said about stars Oi, that was just too human-centered.
/also annoyed with Mashiro Oi, you two, leave the stars out of your self-centered world views.
Stars shiny. You two not shiny. Yeesh!
/starting to pity Yoshino for being involved with those two
I don't know what to think of Aika anymore. Her type of manipulation is difficult to admire or even to comprehend. She's extremely insightful but overall, she's uh... making me think W.T.F. are you doing?
Also, now I think that Mashiro's just crazy and Yoshino's a henpecked husband.
/imagines villain pretty boys in Hawaiian get-ups serving the princess on that island as consolation
Sorry, boys, even if you beat the princess, you're still her bitches as far as I'm concerned.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Episode 7: The best flaskback-centric episode I've seen in a while. Held my interest, at least. Character development for everyone too, especially Aika, who somehow still manages to be an enigma. Just like how Mashiro likes his stars.
Episode 8: Why has it taken us this long to get to this point? It's not like the journey was particularly meaningful beyond one or two highlights.
I imagine that "Tree" and "Sleep" are only comparative words here.
Well, what Mahiro's was going to say was pretty obvious.
That was also one of the obvious things that Hakaze's contradiction could have been, but now I wonder what they will do with it. Time travel. That means that the past could be changed. Not far enough to save Mahiro's sister, but far enough to prevent most of this from ever occuring.
Or not, but we still don't even know why Hakaze died. I thought the island seemed to have the necessities, food and water.
So the most obvious solution was right. Seems to defeat the point of exiling her in the first place, though
Since 3.0 came out recently, I can't help but reminded of Evangelion. Also, I can't help but root for the Trees! By the way, what does the Tree of Exodus demand as sacrifice?
Story is finally getting interesting. They should have highlighted this plot point way earlier.
/boggled every time it's remarked that mages don't have offensive magic.
Why does Samon keep hitting the ground with his sword?
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines. The Tree of Exodus don't get anything sacrificed to it in the first place, cause it doesn't have a cult that worship it like with the Tree of Genesis. At least not that we know of, anyway.
The mages having no offensive magic is kinda explained, since their whole stick is "preserving the order of the world", throwing around fireballs kind of go against that, even if it is strange that nobody managed to get around that yet. And they already got super strenght, super speed, force fields and healing.

CALLED IT!
Though this does bring into question a lot. Why exile her if you were going to just wait for her to die? When Hakaze explained that Samon needed her alive as a failsafe, some of the things he said implied that she was right.
Also, if the past can be changed, then that does mean Aika can be saved. From Hakaze's perspective, it's still about eight months before that happens.
It seems time really is out of joint.
Then I'll firmly add that as a possible ending (I think I misinterpreted the part where Hakaze was talking about Aika in relation to her exile).
This episode made me like Samon. He's funny when he's flustered.
Dear anime staff, I understand that you need to cough up X number of episodes, but if you stretch a plot too much, it will get holes in it.
I couldn't stand not knowing (if the princess survived or not) anymore so I decided to go hunt out for spoilers. The editors who made the Wikipedia page for this show did not even consider the matter on whether the princess is alive or dead a spoiler.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.I don't like Samon. That's why it's amusing when he miscalculates.
I like how his logic seems flawless. Clearly he is someone out of touch with the real world. He had such a hilarious face at what the guy with hair decs was saying.
But... I do hope something happens next episode. Then again, I didn't expect they would barely move in this episode. T
It's not really an anime thing. This sequence is just as drawn-out in the manga.

Episode 10: In which the juicy stuff is still under wraps. Next episode please.
Episode 11: The plot thickens! Again. They figure out how to beat Samon's time prison, but a new quandary arises. Interesting stuff.
Yes it was.
I was also very happy to learn that this is a two cour anime.
Ah, me too! The pace though feels like we're dealing with endgame stuff.
Hmmm, it's two-cours? That's.... Interesting. There's a pretty natural stopping point that meant it could have been squeezed into one, but I have no idea what they're going to do with the second cour.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntConsidering how much they dragged out and padded this first cour, I'd say it could definitely have fit into a single cour.
I honestly thought we were finally building to a resolution, so I'm disappointed to learn that.
Which of the three events are you were referring to?
I am praying that the death thing did not happen.
