I was reading the news, tonight, about Selma Blair's recent ensemble, when I began to question if the headline of the article (at link) should be more along the lines, "Selma Blair continues about her day's business without regard for the Paparazzi."

I wondered, then, if there's an actor or actress who's ever stopped to actually get to know - to any extent - the Paparazzi prying so invasively into their lives' work? I don't mean, inviting the Paparazzi over for dinner, and I'm not thinking "Horror film," at all - just something to respond to the invasive cameras.

If I knew any scriptwriters looking for an idea, I'd say that a company could make a film out of it - maybe even starring the inimitable Lady Gaga, in which the plot centers on a pop actress and/or actor stopping to talk to a Paparrazzi? What events would follow, then, in that hypothetical plot?

In real life, what results already occur of the work of Paparazzi? in tangible terms - not just the voyeurism and vicarious "experience" in the dream business. What roles do the Paparazzi play, culturally?

How's this plot idea sound, then? How could it be further developed?

In case there's any question, I offer the idea for discussion, claiming no property rights to it at all. Public domain, that. If any script would develop out of the idea, I would kindly suggest that perhaps it could be crowd-sourced in some way, just as well.

How about a reality show in which paparazzi and the heads of the tabloids who buy their pics are stalked by people with cameras recording all their private and intimate moments - with a panel of competitors getting points for dreaming up speculations about what the images say about their lives...

The panel could be made up of celebrities who could make disparaging comments about the lifestyles of the paparazzi and tabloid moguls and wonder loudly if they're cheating on their partners every time they're filmed interacting with someone.
